1. JEE Main admit card
The news to command maximum attention of all in the world of education is about hallticket release for JEE Main 2021 exam.
As per the information bulletin of JEE Mains 2021, halltickets would be released for download during the second week of February.
So students can regularly visit the official website of the exam at ‘https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/webinfo2021/Page/Page?PageId=1&LangId=P’ to keep track of the link availability for download.

When the link is available, candidates can click it and enter their username and password and login to download the hallticket.
The first session of JEE Mains will be conducted on 23,24,25 and 26 February this year and as per the usual trend, link to download halltickets will be made available atleast 10 to 15 days before the exam.
Applicants of the exam start watching the official website for the hallticket can be made available anytime soon.

2. NEET UG 2021
NEET UG has also garnered much attention of all those who keenly observe the world of education.
Supreme Court directed that vacant seats in first year BDS course for 2020-21 to be filled through candidates who took part in NEET UG exam after lowering their percentile by 10 percent.
Bench comprising Justice L. Nageswara Rao and Justice Krishna Murari gave this direction.
As per this direction, candidates from General category who secured 40 percent will be eligible for a seat in BDS course.

Also, students from SC/ST/OBC categories shall be eligible to get a seat if they secure 30 percent marks.
This development has come as a pleasant surprise for all those who keep track of developments related to the world of education.
This is a good news for all those who are aspiring to study BDS course.
Another develoment related to NEET UG exam is also a happy one. The exam is likely to be conducted twice from this year.
A meeting that took place recently witnessed discussion on prospects of conducting NEET UG twice a year.
Officials of Education Ministry of Government of India and National Testing Agency (NTA) took part in the meeting.
Sources following the world of education say Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has decided to conduct the exam two times.
Candidates who appear for NEET UG twice will get the best of the two scores. Students stand a better chance to get a medical seat now in the same year, say veteran educationists.

3. IIM Calcutta ranks 44
In yet another development in the world of education saw IIM Calcutta garnering 44th rank in FT Global MBA ranking for 2021.
IIM Calcutta won the rank for its one year full-time MBAEx programme. The institution also won third position among the five Indian B-Schools who were listed in the ranking.
Director of IIM Calcutta Professor Anju Seth said this ranking reiterated their commitment to delivering the best quality of management education at IIMC.
Moreover, the success of our alumni over the years is a true testament to this commitment, she said.
Chairperson of MBAEx programme Professor Manju Jaiswall said the rankings highlight IIM Calcutta’s leadership in delivering global management education.
The other parameters that are considered for the rankings are value for money, aims achieved by alumni on taking the course, career services, employability among students within three months of completing the course.
Also among the other parametres are involvement of women in the Institute’s board, international student in-take, international mobility ranking, international course experience ranking, languages, faculty with doctorates, research ranking and corporate social responsibility.
4. PG Dip in CSR
A worth noting development in the world of education is that Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) launched Post Graduate Diploma programme in Corporate Social Responsibility (PG Dip in CSR).
Candidates who have studied their Bachelor’s degree can apply for PG Dip in CSR. The applications are available at ‘ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in’
Interested candidates can go to the above website on or before February 28 and apply for the course.
The course will impart knowledge about theoretical and practical aspects of CSR and also explain how to formulate ideas of CSR and implement them and monitor them and evaluate them.

Anushka Aggarwal and Gunjan Aggarwal will be representing India in European Girls Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO) 2021.
Anshka is a student of 11th standard and Gunjan studies in 9th standard.

8. UPSC CS Prelims Exam

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct Civil Services Prelims exam for 2021 on 27 June. A notification released on 10 February (2021) confirms this.

9. International Curriculum on CA

Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has managed to occupy centre stage in the world of education with its latest measure of introducing international curriculum on Chartered Accountancy (CA) course.
The curriculum was launched by Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muraleedharan.
Sources tracking the world of education say the international curriculum is designed in such a manner to attract students from across the developing nations.
Also ICAI sources say that more emphasis would be laid on e-learning methods like e-books, e-journals and virtual coaching classes.
Sources from ICAI say the curriculum will follow the existing structure of CA. Also, a three year concurrent practical/industrial training will be mandatory.

Candidates who submitted applications to entrance test conducted by National Testing Agency for offering admission into MBA programme by IIFT can visit the official website to take up corrections.
Sources tracking the world of education and exams say applicants can visit the website ‘iift.nta.nic.in’ till February 12 and make corrections with regards to information provided while applying for the exam.
Applicants can correct errors in connection with fields of Category and Academic Qualification only.

11. ICAI ARF stands up for plus-two students
Experts regularly acquainting themselves with world of education and exams have enthusiastically followed the news with regards to ARF of ICAI.
Accounting Research Foundation of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ARF of ICAI) will provide training to class 12 students to make them employable.
Sources familiar with world of education say ICAI has also launched an accounts assistant scheme in this regard.

Those who pass this scheme will also get an opportunity to train with experienced CAs. Students will also get jobs locally through ICAI job portal.
