Vellore Institute of Technology has initiated the registration process for the Vellore Institute of Technology Research Entrance Examination, VITREE 2025. • PhD: The candidates must possess a Master’s degree in engineering or technology in the relevant field with at least 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale or MSc (Engineering)/MS/MTech or similar qualifications.
• Direct PhD: The candidate must have an excellent academic record in Bachelors in the concerned subject. A minimum 75% mark or CGPA 7.5 on a 10-point scale is required.
• It should be a PhD in architecture and planning and a master’s degree in architecture, design, planning, building engineering and management, or equivalent, awarded through regular/full-time education mode. They need to have acquired at least 60% marks or above or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying degree examination throughout their academic tenure where applicable.

VITREE 2025: Pattern of Exam

The VITREE 2025 examination will be held online in computer-based mode. The medium of the VITREE 2025 test is English. The period for the paper is 2 hours. In all, there will be 100 multiple-choice questions. For the VITREE 2025 PhD paper, in total, there will be 3 sections-Technical, English communication skills, statistics and probability. On the other hand, VITREE 2025 direct PhD, there will be only two sections-Technical and English communication skills. For every correct answer, the candidates will get 1 mark, and there is no negative marking for the wrong attempts.
