Overview

Common Admission Test (CAT) is the premier management entrance exam in India, conducted by IIMs on a rotational basis. CAT scores are accepted by all 20 IIMs and over 1200+ B-Schools across India for admission to MBA/PGDM programs. It is one of the most competitive exams with over 3 lakh aspirants annually.

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD) from a recognized university. Final year students awaiting results are also eligible. No age limit. No restriction on number of attempts.

Exam Pattern

Computer-Based Test. 66 questions in 2 hours. Three sections — Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (24), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (20), Quantitative Ability (22). MCQs: +3/−1. Non-MCQ (TITA): +3/0. Total: 198 marks. Sectional time limit: 40 minutes each.
