VIT Welcomes 118 Teams in the Men’s Badminton Tournament. Meghanatha Reddy inaugurated this tournament—a six-day South Zone inter-university badminton tournament for men. In this tournament, nearly a hundred teams from universities in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana are participating. An intense inter-university game began.

Hundred-plus teams from universities in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana are participating in the tournament. The top four teams from this tournament will participate in All India Inter University Badminton, which will be held in Indore ( The Cleanest City Of India).

Around 14 universities participated in the Men and Women Inter-University Badminton Tournament, conducted under the guidance of the Sports Development Authority Of Tamil Nadu (SDAT).

In the Women’s section, Madhuraj Kamaraj University came out as the champion of the Tournament. Bharathiar University, Coimbatore was the second best. The University of Madras took third place and (VIT) Vellore Institute of Technology was placed fourth in the Tournament of 2019 Inter-University Badminton.
