University of Hyderabad
University of Hyderabad is a premier institution of postgraduate teaching and research in the country and was established by an Act of Parliament (Act No. 39 of 1974) on 2 October, 1974 as a Central University, wholly funded by the University Grants Commission.
The 12 schools and 41 departments/Centres of the University continued to be highly productive in teaching and research.
The medium of instruction for all the courses is English except the language courses for which the medium of instruction is the language concerned.
University of Hyderabad admission is open to all who fulfill the prescribed qualifications without any distinction of race, caste, creed, language or sex.
The selection is made strictly on the basis of merit at the entrance examination.

The courses
University offers postgraduate courses and integrated postgraduate courses.
Duration of a postgraduate course is two years and that of integrated postgraduate course is five years.
Among the postgraduate courses offered are Maths/Applied Maths, Physics, Hindi, Telugu, History and much more.
The integrated PG courses are offered in Mathematical Sciences, Physics, Earth Sciences, English, Economics and much more.
Candidates wishing to apply for integrated postgraduate programmes must have passed their plus-two from a recognised institution.
Individuals desiring to gain entry into postgraduate courses through this University of Hyderabad admission must pass bachelors degree in the discipline in which they wish to study post graduation.
Integrated PG
Arts
Applicants should have passed plus-two from a recognised institution with 60 percent passmarks.
Candidates desiring to study languages in postgraduation must have passed their plus-two with the required language as one of the subjects.
Example: If student wants to join MA Telugu, he or she should have passed plus-two and one of the subjects should be Telugu.
In case if the candidate has no language paper in plus-two then he or she should have passed an an oriental title examination equivalent to Intermediate (i.e. + 2 level) in languages conducted by Government of India or any State Government thereof along with + 2 level.
Science (integrated PG)
Candidate applying for integrated PG course in science through this University of Hyderabad admission should have passed plus-two with maths, physics and chemistry as subjects.
Those who wish to study courses in Biology, Biotechnology should have passed plus-two with biology, physics, chemistry as subjects. One of the subjects preferably must be biotechnology.
Post graduation (PG)
Students targeting regular postgraduate course entry through this University of Hyderabad admission must have passed bachelors degree in the discipline they wish to study masters course.
The pass percentage in the qualifying exam must be 60.

Registration fee
The registration fee for applying for this University of Hyderabad admission is Rs 600 for applicants of General category.
Applicants from EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) have to pay Rs 550 while applying for University of Hyderabad admission.
The same for OBC category applicants is Rs 400 and for SC/ST/PwD (People with Disabilities) is Rs 275.

Selection method
Applicants have to pass the written test with the required score. Candidates passing the test will be called for further stages of admission.

The entrance test is the first thing students have to pass if they are to get a seat in the subject of their choice.
The answers in the test in connection with University of Hyderabad admission for certain subjects are to be answered in OMR sheet.
For the written test in connection with certain other subjects, answers have to be marked partly on OMR sheet and partly on a separate answer book.

Entrance test-2
Students who are focused on entry into integrated postgraduate courses through this University of Hyderabad admission can focus on the plus-two lessons.
The questions from lessons taught at plus-two level are likely to appear in the entrance test.

Point to remember
The medium for answering questions is English. Candidates who applied for integrated PG or regular PG in languages like Telugu, Hindi or Urdu have to answer the question paper in the respective languages.
The performance of the candidates in the test consisting of objective or multiple choice
questions will be evaluated using the OMR technology.
The candidates will be required to mark the answers in the OMR Sheet with a blue or black ball-point or sketch pen during the test. Necessary instructions will be given in the relevant question papers.
Registration started on 21 June and the last date to submit applications in connection with University of Hyderabad admission is 20 July.
