UGC NET 2024 June Exam was conducted in 317 cities across India over 1,200 centers and a day after it was conducted it got cancelled.
Sources say, National Testing Agency (NTA) got inputs indicating that the test could have been compromised.
Following the information it received, the decision was said to have been taken on 19 June 2024 to cancel the exam.
Information about the integrity of the exam being compromised were said to have been provided by Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C).

There is more to it when it comes to UGC NET 2024 June exam. Certain other sources say, the question paper connected with the test was leaked about 2 days before the exam was to be conducted.
Question paper was also said to have been put on sale on the dark web for an amount that is more than Rs 5 lakhs.
To ensure integrity and sanctity of the exam, the decision to cancel it was supposed to have been taken.

The new date for conducting UGC NET 2024 June Exam would be announced soon. Candidates can frequently visit the official website of the exam for updates.
Even while the candidates will have to wait for the new date to appear for UGC NET 2024 June Exam, it is to note that there was a change in the exam pattern this year.
Test was conducted in offline mode, as a pen and paper based test instead of the usual online mode or computer based test.
The exam was conducted on the same day instead of it being held over many days.

The work of investigating the matter related to UGC NET exam has been handed over to CBI – Central Bureau of Investigation. A case has also been registered and investigation is said to have commenced.

The exam is conducted two times in a year, the next time, they would get an opportunity is in December.
