The process of registration is yet to commence for the UG Medical Admission 2024 all over the country.

There are over 26,773 BDS, 66,303 AYUSH, 6537 BVSc and AH seats.
The number of colleges
There are over 660 medical colleges located across the country, they come under state government, central government and private categories.

Tamil Nadu happens to be having a maximum number of seats. It is said Tamil Nadu has about 11,745 seats, the next is Karnataka with 10945 seats and Uttar Pradesh is the next with 8485 seats.
Counselling
Students aiming for UG Medical Admission 2024 must remember that the seat-filling process, also known as counselling for the graduate medical courses, takes place in two phases – All India level and State level.
All India Level which is also known as All India Quota (AIQ) counselling fills about 15% of all the seats in various states of India. Students from any state can apply for this quota.
However, the rest of the 85% medical seats will be filled by the respective authorities of the states in India. Students trying to apply for this quota must preferably be a native of that state.
Students aiming for graduation in Ayurveda, Unani or Homeopathy must remember that UG Medical Admission 2024 counselling will be conducted by Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) which comes under the Ministry of Ayush of Government of India.
UG Medical Admission 2024 counselling for BVSc and AH courses will be conducted by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) which comes under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying of the Government of India.
Students aiming for UG Medical Admission 2024 must know that the above-mentioned authorities are for national-level quota admissions.
State-level quota admissions in Ayurveda, Unani, and Veterinary Sciences may be conducted by the respective authorities of various states. Candidates can visit the websites to know more in this regard.
