Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is the centralized national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate (5-year integrated LLB) and postgraduate (LLM) law programs at 22 National Law Universities across India. CLAT is the most sought-after law entrance exam in the country.

Eligibility Criteria

UG: Class 12 passed with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST). No age limit. PG: LLB/equivalent degree with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). Candidates appearing in qualifying exams are also eligible.

Exam Pattern

Offline (Pen and Paper) exam. UG: 120 questions in 2 hours — English Language (22-26), Current Affairs & GK (28-32), Legal Reasoning (28-32), Logical Reasoning (22-26), Quantitative Techniques (10-14). +1 for correct, −0.25 for wrong. Total: 120 marks.
