TSECET happy news, last date extended
TSECET, also known as Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test has a development worth noting. Candidates who have applied for it can take note of it. TS (Telangana State) is located in southern part of India.
Applicants who wish to apply for the exam can submit their application without late fee till 5 April. The same date was 28 March earlier.

About the exam
The exam is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TS CHE). The exam is conducted for students holding diploma in engineering/technology/pharmacy and for B.Sc (Mathematics) degree holders.
TSCHE has delegated the task to JNTUH for conducting the most prestigious Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test TSECET for this year 2020. The JNTUH is conducting this CET for 6th time in the newly formed Telangana state . The test is being conducted through online mode only.
Important dates
The date for application submission began on 24 February this year. While the last date to submit application fee was earlier 28 March, now that has been extended to 5 April.
The last date to submit the application with a late fee with of Rs 500 is 8 April, with late fee of Rs 1,000 is 18 April, with late fee of Rs. 5,000 is 25 April, with late fee of Rs 10,000 is 28 April.
Candidates can undertake correction in the data provided on the online mode from 9 to 12 April. The date for downloading hall tickets is 20 to 27 April.

Application fee
Candidates who wish to apply for the exam has to pay a registration fee. The fee is Rs 800 for other category candidates and Rs 400 for candidates of SC,ST and PH categories.
Method to apply
The process to apply for the exam is online and candidates willing to apply for this have to remember that. To apply, candidates have to logon to ‘https://ecet.tsche.ac.in/TSECET/TSECET_HomePage.aspx’ Applicants have to pay the fees first and then commence the process of application.
Candidates have to obtain payment registration ID after making the fee payment. Modes to pay are debit card, credit card, internet banking and TSOnline, APOnline centres. After the payment ID is obtained candidates can commence the process of applying for the exam.
Post application, candidates have to take the printout of the final copy and preserve it for their purpose.
The test
The test will be for three hour duration and will be held on 2 May in two shifts. The morning shift is from 10 am to 1 pm and is for people willing to join ECE, EIE, CSE and EEE. The evening shift is for 3 pm to 6 pm and is for the candidates willing to join the streams of CIV, CHEM, MEC, MIN, MET, PHM and BSM.
Pattern of exam
Exam pattern will alter for the students of diploma, B.Sc Mathematics and Pharmacy. Diploma students have to answer questions related to Maths, Physics, Chemistry and an Engineering subject which are Civil /Electrical & Electronics/Mechanical/Electronics & Communication/Computer Science/Chemical/Metallurgical /Mining/Electronics & Instrumentation. The total paper is for 200 marks.
For BSc mathematics question paper will have questions related to mathematics, analytical ability and communicative english for 200 marks. For Pharmacy students the paper will comprise questions on Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy and Pharmacology and Toxicology for a total of 200 marks.
