Extended Last Date For First-year Intermediate Admissions: TSBIE Extends the Deadline of 2024-25/ The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education has further extended the deadline for releasing first-year intermediate admissions for the academic year 2024-25. The end date of the admission is now October 20, 2024. Not disclosed what led to the deadline extension. The deadline was already extended up to October 15, 2024.

Parents and students are advised to verify the junior college they wish to join before sending the admissions application. The board clarified that the list of recognized colleges is available on the official portals: acadtgbie.cgg.gov.in and tgbie.cgg.gov.in.

It has directed all the junior colleges the government, private aided, private unaided, cooperative, and residential colleges to continue the first-year Intermediate admissions process up to an extended date without any glitches.

TSBIE Intermediate Admission 2024-25: Official Notice of Extension

The official TSBIE notice read as follows: “All the Principals of the Government/Private Aided/Private, Un-Aided/Co-Operative/TG Residential/TG Social Welfare, Residential/TG Tribal Welfare Residential/TG Model/ KGBV/Incentive Junior Colleges and Composite Degree Colleges in Telangana State, who are offering two-year Intermediate course are hereby informed that admissions into 1st-year Intermediate for the academic year 2024-25 will be open up to 20 -10-2024 with a late fee of Rs 500/- in all Private Junior Colleges and without a late fee in all Government and Government Sector Colleges as a last chance and there is no further extension.”.

First term holidays for junior colleges from October 6

TSBIE has announced the first-term holidays for junior colleges in the state. As per the official statement of TSBIE, all kinds of institutions such as government, private aided, private unaided, cooperative and welfare organisations that are offering the two-year Intermediate course shall remain closed from 6 October to 13 October 2024. Colleges will reopen on October 14, 2024.

Conclusion:

The TSBIE has further opened the window of admissions for first-year Intermediate students in 2024-25, thus extending the deadline to 20th October 2024. However, the late fee is applicable for admissions to private junior colleges, though the late fee does not apply to admissions to government and public sector colleges.

Students have to pay Rs 500 as a late fee for admission to private junior colleges. Students and parents are advised to scrutinize the list of recognized colleges published on official TSBIE portals before submitting applications. This would be the final extension as it had decided not to extend the deadline any further.

JEE Advanced 2025 registration for foreign national candidates and OCI/PIO (F) candidates has opened open on 7 April 2025 by 10 AM and will close on by 11:59 PM on 2 May 2025.
