5. NIT Kurukshetra
NIT Kurukshetra was established in 1963 with the help of the Central Government in consultation with the Planning Commission. It was later in 2008 that this institution got declared for the Institute of National Importance. They offer a B.Tech programme in 7 engineering specialisations and M.tech programme in 22 categories.

8. NIT Allahabad
The full name of NIT Allahabad is Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology. It is names after Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who also laid the foundation of the institute. The college offers 4 post graduate and 9 post graduate programmes. They have 14 different department.
MNNIT is an Institute with total commitment to quality and excellence in academic pursuits. It was established as one of the seventeen Regional Engineering Colleges of India in the year 1961 as a joint enterprise of Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh, and was an associated college of University of Allahabad, which is the third oldest university in India.
