TANCET 2021 exam: Apply till great February 12
TANCET 2021 exam is now open for applications, candidates seeking admission into post graduate courses can apply for it till February 12.
About the exam
TANCET is expanded into Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test. TANCET 2021 exam is the test being conducted this year.
Students who pass TANCET 2021 exam can seek admission in university departments, university colleges of engineering, regional campuses of Anna University, Annamalai University.
TANCET 2021 exam
They can also seek admission in government and government aided colleges of engineering, arts & science colleges) and self-financing colleges ofengineering, arts & science colleges including stand-alone Institutions) in Tamil Nadu can be registered only through Online.
Some universities and self-financing engineering colleges may also opt to admit the candidates on the basis of score obtained in TANCET 2021 exam.
Examination timings
TANCET 2021 exam for MCA admission will be held on 20 March this year from 10 am to 12 pm.
TANCET 2021 exam for MBA admission will take place on 20 March this year from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
TANCET 2021 exam for ME/MTech, MArch and MPlan will be conducted on 21 March this year from 10 am to 12 pm.
Important dates
The registration for TANCET 2021 exam began on 19 January at 10 am. The last date for submission of applications for TANCET 2021 exam is 5 pm of February 12.
Halltickets for TANCET 2021 exam can be downloaded on 5 March this year. The exam result will be out on or before 16 April.

Eligibility
The eligibility condition for TANCET 2021 exam depends on the stream the candidates are intending to apply.
ME/MTech
Candidates willing to seek admission into postgraduate engineering courses must have BE or BTech in the respective engineering discipline in which they plan to pursue post graduation.
MArch
Students aspiring for a seat in post graduate architecture through TANCET 2021 exam must have be holding a bachelor’s degree in architecture (BArch).
The applicants for MArch courses through TANCET 2021 exam must passed Associateship Examination of the Indian Institue of Architects (AIIA) and also must be having a valid registration with Council of Architecture.
MPlan
Applicants desiring to apply for masters in planning through TANCET 2021 exam must have passed-bachelors in planning (BPlan), architecture (BArch) or BE/BTech in Civil Engineering.
The applicants must preferably have passed AIIA.
MCA
Candidates aspiring for admission into post graduation in Computer Applications have to pass any degree with mathematics as one of the subject at plus-two or undergraduate level.
Point to remember
Applicants for TANCET 2021 exam must have a minimum 50 percent pass marks. The same for candidates of the reserved category is 45 percent.

How to apply
Applicants for TANCET 2021 exam must remember that process for applying the exam is online.
Candidates can visit the official website for the exam at ‘https://tancet.annauniv.edu/tancet/index.html’
Soon after the webpage downloads, they can see a button titled ‘TANCET Registration’ located right below the logos of Anna University and Tamil Nadu Government.
Applicants for TANCET 2021 exam have to click on the button and register to obtain the username and password.
Once the credentials (username and password) are obtained, candidates can start applying for TANCET 2021 exam.
Applicants can access the registration point directly by typing the link ‘https://tancet.annauniv.edu/tancet/tac21/’ and then begin registration process to obtain username and password.
After providing the required information for registration, applicants have to press ‘Submit’ button.
Post submitting the details, applicants will be taken to a fee payment link where they have to pay the exam registration fee.
TANCET 2021 exam registration fee is Rs 600 for candidates. The same for candidates from SC/ST/SCA category candidates is Rs 300.
Candidates have to submit category certificate if they wish to seek exemption from fee payment under SC/ST/SCA categories.
Applicants who donot have to seek fee exemption or who do not have to upload category certificate can skip this stage and move towards filling other parts of the application form.
Post filling the forms, candidates can verify them for errors and then rectify them if there are any.
Applicants can submit the form finally after ensuring there are no errors.
After the final confirmation is obtained, applicants can take a print out of it and preserve it for future use.
If candidates are not able to obtain final confirmation after successful application submission, they can check the status of the application to find out the reason and take up the required action.

Information to be provided
Candidates have to provide their valid email ID and current mobile number while registering for TANCET 2021 exam.
They also have to provide information about their 10th and 12th exam registration numbers and the year when they passed them while registering.
In case an applicant is a diploma holder, he or she has to upload the roll number and year of passing of the diploma exam.
Applicants also have to upload their photograph which is of 200px to 300px in height and 150px to 300px in width.
Candidates can put their signature on a plain white paper and scan that and upload them. The size should be 60px to 80px in height and 150px to 200px in width.
Community certificate or category certificate must be uploaded in PDF format while filling the application for TANCET 2021 exam.
Candidates can also check if they have to upload marksheets of their 10th, 12th and degree exams.
If there is a need, applicants for TANCET 2021 exam can also upload the scanned images of the marksheets.
