SRMJEEE 2020: Great, exam last date is extended
SRMJEEE 2020 will be conducted from 30 July to 4 August. SRM Joint Entrance Examination Engineering will be organised in the duration mentioned above in 127 cities across India and five locations abroad.
The locations outside India where SRMJEEE 2020 will be held are Doha, Muscat, Bahrain and Kuwait. The last date to apply for SRMJEEE 2020 also has been extended till 15 July.
SRMIST campuses are located at Kattankulathur near Chennai in Tamilnadu, Vadapalani and Ramapuram in Chennai in Tamilnadu, in Amaravati in Andhra Pradesh, Sonepat in Haryana, Delhi (NCR) and Sikkim.
Post exam
Candidates have to attend counselling after they attempt SRMJEEE 2020. They will be selected based on the rank obtained in SRMJEEE 2020.
Important dates
The registration process began on 28 October last year and the last date to apply for SRMJEEE 2020 is 15 July. The hall ticket for the exam will be made available for downloading in the third week of July.
Candidates who pass SRMJEEE 2020 have to attend the counselling which is tentatively expected to be held in second or third week of August this year.

The dates for declaration of result for SRMJEEE 2020 and commencement of academic sessions will be informed later.
For engineering oriented courses candidates must have good hold on maths, physics and chemistry. For courses related to bioengineering good hold on biology also is essential along with physics and chemistry.
Candidates must also have good hold on English and Aptitude subjects. Candidates must have a minimum pass percentage in between 50 to 75 percent in plus-two exams.
Top rankers in IIT JEE or state and central board examinations or candidates with exemplary performance in sports at national or international level can apply seek direct admission.
The test is held in online mode and medium of the test will be english. The format of questions for SRMJEEE 2020 is multiple choice.
While questions in english, physics, chemistry are common, applicants can choose between maths and biology. Bioengineering courses aspirant can choose biology, while engineering courses of other streams can choose maths.
Physics and chemistry will have 35 questions each in SRMJEEE exam. Mathematics or biology will have 40 questions each. There will be 10 question in Aptitude subject and english will have five questions.
Each right answer will have one mark and no negative marking is there in the exam for wrong answers.
There will be two sessions each day for SRMJEEE 2020, candidates can select the exam date and session and choice of centre for writing the exam.
How to apply
Candidates can apply for the exam online. They can click the link of the official website for SRMJEEE 2020 to register for the exam. The link for applying for the exam is ‘https://applications.srmist.edu.in/#accordion’

Applicants after clicking the above link must wait for the page to download. After that, they can begin registering to obtain username and password. Once username and password are obtained, applicants can start registering for SRMJEEE 2020.
Application fee
Applicants have to pay an application fee of Rs 1100. The fee can be paid through online banking, debit card or credit card.

The syllabus for physics, chemistry, maths and biology for SRMJEEE 2020 is the one taught at plus-two level across various recognised educational institutions.

Biology
Taxonomy of Angiosperm, Cell Biology and Genetics, Biology in Human Welfare, Modern Genetics and Animal Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Theories of Evolution, Microbiology.
Mathematics
Sets, Relations and Functions, Matrices, Determinants and their applications, Differential Calculus and its applications, Statistics and Probability, Analytical Geometry.
Physics
Units and Measurement, Gravitation, Mechanics of Solids and Fluids, Heat and Thermodynamics, Electricity and Magnetism, Atomic Physics and Relativity, Dual Nature of Matter and Nuclear Physics.
