SRMIST students get great fame to their institution
SRMIST students Shreyans Singh and Dev Pratap Singh have made their institution proud with their achievements. Shreyans is a student of Computer Science and Information Technology Engineering at SRMIST and Dev Pratap is studying Civil Engineering at the same institution.
Shreyans and Dev Pratap are students of SRMIST and NCC cadets who have represented NCC Directorate of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar (TN, P, A and N) during the Republic Day celebrations at the national capital recently.
Prime Minister handed over a medal and a baton to NC1 Shreyansh Singh, in the presence of NCC cadets belonging to Senior and Junior Division (Boys) and Senior and Junior Wing (Girls) belonging to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NCC from all over India.
Cadet Dev Pratap Singh was the Master of Ceremony (MC) of the Flag Area displayed by the TN, P, A and N Directorate. The achievements of SRMIST Students assume significance as this year’s Republic Day Camp coincided with the 75th Raising Day of NCC.
Both the students started their republic day camp journey as Best Cadets from the NCC Unit level and after the rigorous regimental training of various camps they reached the PM rally.
The students have been in various Inter group competitions, Competitions at the Directorate and National levels. The hard work and efforts of these SRMIST students have brought pride to their institution.
It is a matter of great pride and honor that two SRMIST students have simultaneously brought laurels to Tamil Nadu at the Republic Day Camp 2023. SRMIST gives a lot of importance to the all-around and holistic growth and overall personality development of all its students and NCC is an essential and integral part of the institution’s activities to encourage youth to take part in nation-building activities.
