PURE EV launches new electric scooter model 'ETrance+'
PURE EV, IIT Hyderabad incubated startup was the centre of attraction recently when it launced its new electric scooter model ‘Etrance+’ at a ex-showroom price of Rs 56,999.
The new electric scooter of PURE EV is available in four colour variants namely red, blue, matt black and grey and comes with a long lasting portable Lithium batteries in metallic casings that provides a 65 kilometers range.

PURE EV has an in-house battery manufacturing facility and a research setup based out of IIT Hyderabad campus where the company’s dedicated R&D team works on core areas of battery thermal management system for development of long range and high-performance Lithium batteries.
Speaking about the features of the newly launched vehicle PuREnergy chief executive officer Rohit Vadera said on the eve of Independence Day, they are proud to announce the launch of this entry level scooter giving the Indian People freedom from monthly fuel expenses.

He further said in this COVID-19 pandemic scenario, thrust on personal mobility has increased significantly and people are looking for electric scooters at affordable prices.
‘ETrance+’ comes with a robust chassis design, body parts built for Indian road conditions and advanced features like regenerative braking, eABS and a SOC indicator shows the percentage of battery capacity remaining.
We are confident that this model will meet the requirements of the majority of customers looking to buy EVs for their daily short commutes, said Rohit of PURE EV.
It is worth recollecting that PURE EV has already launched four products in the market and they are EPluto 7G, EPluto, Etrance and Etron+.
PURE EV is on course to significantly expand its manufacturing base to a larger facility with an annual capacity of 2 lakh EVs and battery manufacturing capacity of 5 GWh in comparison with the existing capacities of 20,000 EVs and 0.5 GWh.
Speaking about technological advancement made by manufacturing unit of PURE EV, its founder Nishanth Dongari said the launch of ETrance+ is another important milestone for the company and demonstrates our ability on cost innovation even while meeting all the key expectations of the customers.
Such innovations are becoming feasible even under the pandemic due to our in-house battery technology and the RandD in improving the efficiency of power train, he said.
He further said they intend to emerge as one of the pioneers in India in shifting the customers’ preference towards new generations Lithium battery powered electric scooters.
PURE EV is electric vehicle vertical of the startup PuREnergy which is incubated out of IIT Hyderabad and manufactures high performance Lithium batteries.
The company has set up a dedicated factory in a built-up area of 40,000 sq.ft. for large scale manufacturing of electric vehicles.
PURE EV has access to all the R&D facilities from IIT Hyderabad and strong technological support.
It has raised funding from Hyderabad-based pharmaceuticals visionary V.C. Nannapaneni, Chairman and Managing Director, NATCO Pharma Ltd, in his personal capacity, which puts the startup at a valuation of USD 35 million valuation.
