Eligibility

Age relaxation
Candidates from SC/ST/BC categories are eligible for an upper age relaxation of 5 years. The same in case of ex-servicemen is 3 years.
Serving employees of Government (Central or State) will also get upper age relaxation by five years but their upper age should not be 33 as on 1 January 2021.
Selection method

Candidates who pass the test must attend Physical Screening Test (PST).

Male candidates

They will have only one chance to finish the race.
They must also complete Long Jump of 3.80 metres, they will get three chances to finish the jump.
Male candidates must take part in High Jump of 1.10 metres. They will get three chances to complete the High Jump.
Female candidates

Ex-servicemen candidates
Above 35 years

They will have only one chance to finish the race.
They must also complete 10 full squats in one go. The candidates will have only one chance to complete the squats.
35 years or less in age
Ex-servicemen candidates taking part in the physical test in this Punjab Police recruitment must have a height of 5ft 7inches and must complete 1400 metres running race in 9 minutes.
They will have only one chance to finish the race.
They must also complete 10 full squats in one go. The candidates will have only one chance to complete the squats.
