The Indian Institute of Skills will train students in factory automation, digital manufacturing, mechatronics, AI, data analytics, and additive manufacturing. Inaugurating the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) in Mumbai is Prime Minister Modi. Via industrial partnerships, the institution offers specialized courses in factory automation, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and other areas with the goal of preparing a workforce ready for the future.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) in Mumbai. The institute has been set up through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model by collaboration between the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship with Tata IIS being a section 8 company under Tata Trusts.

IIS Mumbai will be constructed on a 4-acre campus within the National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) located in Chunabhatti, Mumbai and will specialize in priority sectors such as factory automation, digital manufacturing, mechatronics, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and additive manufacturing.

The institute will first introduce six specialized courses: Advanced Industrial Automation and Robotics, Industrial Automation Fundamentals, Advanced Arc Welding Techniques, Additive Manufacturing, Electric Vehicle Battery Specialist, and 2&3 2-wheeler EV Technician. Very shortly, hostel facilities will also be extended for candidates to enhance their learning experience.

Indian Institute of Skills, Mumbai campus will also host state-of-the-art labs built in partnership with more than 15 original equipment manufacturers globally and in India. This will allow hands-on experience at a low cost with realistic industrial-grade equipment. Once the students complete their training, they will be ready to be onboarded by new-age industries like EV manufacturers, AI, robotics, etc.

Short-term courses with industry partners at the Indian Institute of Skills

The other courses besides core will include short-term courses in association with industry partners, such as the offering of industrial robotics with Fanuc India, industrial automation with SMC India, and culinary and core housekeeping with Taj Skyline.
PM Modi while addressing the event said, “The world trusts a country only when its youth is brimming with confidence.”. He said that the confidence of young India is writing the story of a new future for the nation and also said that the whole global world considers India to be a very important hub for human resources, with enormous opportunities in education, skilling, healthcare, and in software development throughout the world.

The prime minister thereby emphasized that it is the government’s task to align the skills of Indian youth with global standards. Inaugurating the Indian Institute of Skills Mumbai, Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Education, said, “Institutions like the Indian Institute of Skills are pivotal in shaping a future-ready workforce, making the Prime Minister’s vision for India as the ‘Skill Capital of the World’ a reality.”.

It is all about registration for two exams – TG LAWCET 2025 and TG PGLCET 2025.

Admission Open in Amity for 2025

Registration started from 1 March 2025. Application with no late fee could be submitted till 15 April 2025.

These exams are also known as TS LAWCET and TS PGLCET. TG LAWCET/PGLCET 2025 application submission can be done till 25 April 2025 with a payment of late fee of Rs 500.

TG LAWCET/PGLCET 2025 Application

TG LAWCET/PGLCET 2025 application submission can be done till 5 May 2025 with a late fee of Rs 1000. The date to apply is 15 May 2025 with a late fee payment of Rs 2000.

Admission Open in SRM for 2025

Candidates can take up TG LAWCET/PGLCET 2025 application submission till 25 May 2025 with a late fee of Rs 4000.

Those who have successfully completed TG LAWCET/PGLCET 2025 application submission can take up corrections in their application from 20 to 25 May 2025.

Hall tickets will be available for download from 30 May 2025 onwards. TG LAWCET will be conducted on 6 June 2025.

Preliminary key will be out on 10 June 2025, last date to submit objections on preliminary key is 14 June 2025 and announcement of final key and results will be done on 25 June 2025.

Osmania University will conduct TG LAWCET, PGLCET 2025 exams on behalf of Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE).

Individuals have to pass TG LAWCET, PGLCET 2025 with minimum qualifying marks also known as cutoff scores.

The eligibility to apply for TG LAWCET 2025 is a pass in plus two in any stream from a recognized educational institution. Students who have passed graduate law courses can apply for TG PGLCET 2025.

Those willing to take up TG LAWCET, PGLCET 2025 registration must be natives of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.
