The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, India will close the PM Internship Scheme 2024 registration window tomorrow, November 10. The Prime Minister internship application process is available on the official website, pminternship.mca.gov.in.
Applicants must not be enrolled in a full-time program. Such applicants who do not have any family members earning more than Rs 8 lakh per annum and holding a government job are eligible. The age of the candidate must lie between 21 to 24 years.
Candidates who have passed the class 10 certificate, passed class 12, and with a certificate from any ITI, diploma of any polytechnic, graduation with the degree of BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBA, BPharma, etc., are eligible for applying under this internship.
Registration under the PM Internship Scheme
There is no application or registration fee incurred in taking the PM Internship. As a part of the registration process, candidates would be provided with the facility to browse preferred sectors, roles, locations, and other criteria. They would have to choose up to five internship opportunities per their choices.
The short-listed candidates shall be securely registered and given internships in a wide range of positions across sectors, including IT & software development, banking & financial services, oil, gas & energy, metals & mining, FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods), telecom, infrastructure & construction, retail & consumer durables, cement & building materials, automotive, pharmaceutical, aviation & defence, manufacturing & industrial, chemical, media, entertainment & education, agriculture and allied, consulting services, textile manufacturing, gems and jewellery, travel & hospitality and healthcare.
Under the internship scheme, the company would pay Rs 500 per month and return the payment on the portal. The government would then release an amount of Rs 4,500 which would then be transferred to the candidates through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The internship would be for 12 months.
