Placement at IIT Madras: Great show in Phase 1
Placement at IIT Madras during the Phase I has been highly impressive. As many as 1085 offers were made during the Phase I which is the highest ever. Over 73 percent of students who have registered for placements in the Phase I have got job offers.
Placement at IIT Madras
The first phase of campus placement at IIT Madras concluded on 10 December this year and the second phase would commence from mid January next year. The highlight point with regards to first phase of campus placement at IIT Madras is that 45 international offers were received.
The institution has recorded a historic high in job offers received during Phase I of campus placement at IIT Madras for the Academic Year 2021-22.
Even startup companies also had a presence during the campus placement at IIT Madras for 2021-22 academic year. Over 62 startup companies have made 186 offers during the first phase of this campus placement at IIT Madras.
Students
Combined with the 231 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), which arise from Internships and are made before Phase I, the total number of job offers stands at 1,316 at the end of Phase I. A total of 1,500 students registered for Phase I placement at IIT Madras for 2021-22.

As far as international offers at first phase of placement at IIT Madras are concerned, 11 offers came from Rakuten Mobile Inc. Other international offers came from Glean, Micron Technologies, Honda R and D, Cohesity, Da Vinci Derivatives, Accenture Japan, Hilabs Inc., Quantbox Research, MediaTek, Money Forward, Rubrik, Termgrid and Uber.
The other top recruiters during this campus placement at IIT Madras are EXL Service (15 offers), IQVIA (14 offers), EXL Service (13 offers), Goldman Sachs and Co LLC (13 offers).
ICICI Bank (12 offers), Larsen & Toubro (12 offers), Amazon (11 offers), Deloitte India (11 offers), Rakuten Mobile Inc (11 offers), Tiger AI (11 offers), Axis Bank Ltd (10 offers), Bain and Company (10 offers), EY India (10 offers) and Intel (10 offers).
