NIMCET 2022 Aspirant? Great Regn starts from 4 April
NIMCET 2022 is the exam for all those who aspire to study Master of Computer Applications (MCA) course in reputed NITs (National Institutes of Technology) located across the country.

About NIMCET 2022 exam
The exam is expanded into National Institute of Technology MCA Common Entrance Test. One of the NITs located across India takes up the task of conducting the exam every year. This year NIT Jamshedpur (NIT JSR) has taken up the responsibility of conducting the test.
NIMCET 2022 will be a computer based test which will be conducted for a duration of two hours. Candidates have to answer 120 multiple choice questions related to mathematics, logical reasoning, computer awareness, english and pass the exam with required score to take part in the counselling process. Candidates who pass NIMCET 2022 can study MCA in 9 NITs located across India. The NITs where candidates can choose to study MCA aster passing NIMCET 2022 are given below for the sake of the students:

Application
The registration or application form submission will commence by 10 am of 4/4/2022. Submitting of applications for NIMCET 2022 will go on till 5 pm of 4/5/2022.
Candidates have to submit application within the allotted time frame. No requests to extend the application submission timings will be taken into consideration. Know all the dates and schedule with regards to NIMCET 2022
How to submit applications?
The procedure to submit applications is online and candidates have to visit the official website for the exam which is ‘https://www.nimcet.in/’ The procedure is mentioned below:
A. Soon after the webpage downloads on clicking the above url, candidates can click the button ‘New Registration’ and take up the below mentioned procedure:
1. Candidates are required to register themselves by submitting their personal email-id and mobile number.
2. An email will be sent to the personal email-d , wherein a web link will be provided for the registration process.
3. By clicking on the link , the applicant is directed to the webpage where he/she will first set the password and choose the security question and submit its answer.
4. After this the applicant will be directed to the login page.
5. Candidate’s are not permitted to create multiple Ids. Any attempt to subvert the process will be viewed seriously.
6. Candidate’s email-id, password and the security question are very important.
7. Candidate must retain the same email-id and phone number throughout the NIMCET 2022 process.
8. All the important information regrading NIMCET 2022 will be sent to your registered email-id.
9. In case candidate forgot his/her password after registering he can change it by answering the security question.
B. Post completion of above mentioned registration procedure and obtaining the username and password, candidates can come back to the website ‘https://www.nimcet.in/’ and enter the username and password and press ‘Login’ to enter and start filling the application form.
C. Post filling of details, applicants have to pay the registration fee which is also known as exam fee or application fee. Post fee payment, candidates can submit the application form.
D. Post submission, candidates will receive confirmation acknowledgement of successful submission, after receiving the acknowledgement, candidates can take download the acknowledgement and preserve it for future use.
E. Incase the candidates do not receive acknowledgement for successful submission, it means they may have committed some mistake like leaving some important information blank, not uploading some required documents, uploading documents that are not up to the required specifications.
In such cases, candidates can check the reason and take up required rectification and the submit the application form.
Point to remember
Acknowledgement which is also known as Confirmation Receipt contains information like Application Number which would be useful in admission related transactions in future. In all the future transactions, candidates have to quote the details like Application Number.
Application fee
Candidates have to pay the non-refundable Application Processing Fee of Rs 2500 if they are from OPEN/OPEN-EWS/OBC categories and Rs 1250 if they are from SC/ST/PwD categories only through the provisions made in the NIMCET 2022 website before the final submission of the online application form.
Admit cards
Admit cards will not be sent to the candidates individually by post. Eligible candidates can download their own Admit Cards from the NIMCET-2022 website ‘https://www.nimcet.in’ between 6/6/2022 (Monday) and 19/6/2022 (Sunday).
In the event of any difficulty in downloading the Admit Card, the candidates should send an e-mail to nimcet@nitjsr.ac.in between 6/6/2022 and 19/6/2022 giving details of the candidate’s application number and proof for the remittance of fee. Any such request after 19/6/2022 will not be entertained. Any telephonic requests will not be entertained.
Candidates are hereby advised to print the Admit Card on precision printers only such as laser printers (and not on Inkjet printers). Also, the candidate must preserve the Admit Card (used during the examination) till the entire process of admission is complete. Request for issue of duplicate Admit Card will not be entertained after the examination in any case.
Test and After
Candidates have to take up the exam in online format as a computer based test. Total of 120 questions are to be answered in two hours time. The questions will be related to Mathematics, Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness and General English.
There is an important point to remember with regards to NIMCET 2022. There is an element of negative marking. Every correct reply yields 4 marks, but every wrongly answered question will lose 1 mark. Marks
Candidates have to pass the exam with the required score which is also known as cutoff score. This is nothing but a minimum qualifying marks, candidates have to get in the exam to be eligible for moving to the next stage of admission process or to finally get selected for the admission. The score of the candidates in the exam has to be either equal to the cutoff or greater than that. Soon after the cutoff marks are declared candidates can compare their score to that. Counselling
This is the process where the candidates have to register and then fix their choice of the institution where they wish to study the course. Candidates who get the seat can pay the fees and join the course.
The counselling will be usually held in one or more rounds, candidates who do not get the seat in the initial rounds of counselling can get take part in the subsequent rounds to try to get a seat in the institution of their choice.
