It is about NIFT Entrance Examination for admission into UG, PG and PhD courses in National Institute of Fashion Technology.

The last date to take up NIFTEE 2025 registration with payment of late fee of Rs 5000 and applicable application fee is 7 January 2025.

Examination will be conducted on 9 February 2025. The dates for hall ticket release, city intimation slip release and result release will be informed later.

About NIFTEE

This is also known as National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Exam and popular as NIFTEE. It is a national level exam conducted once a year for admission into UG, PG and PhD courses offered at NIFT.

Those who pass this exam can apply for admission into B Des, B F Tech, M Des, MFM, M F Tech and PhD courses in NIFT campuses located at various parts of India.

Test has two parts – first is the entrance test – GAT (General Ability Test) and Creative Ability Test (CAT).

GAT is conducted as Computer Based Test (CBT) and CAT is conducted as Paper Based Test (PBT). Those who apply for B Des through NIFTEE 2025 Registration have to appear for GAT and CAT.

Aspirants of B Des, M Des, B F Tech and B Des, MFM and M Des have to appear for both GAT and CAT. Applicants for M F Tech, B F Tech, M F M have to appear for GAT alone.

Applicants for PhD course through this NIFTEE 2025 registration have to appear for a written test. After passing the written test conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), candidates have to take part in Situation Test/Personal Interview.

Applicants for PhD have to appear for Research Proposal Presentation and Interview after passing the written test.

Who can take up NIFTEE 2025 Registration?

The eligibility to take up NIFTEE 2025 registration depends on the course they wish to apply through this entrance exam. Details are provided below:

Age limit

Those focused on Bachelor’s Programmes (B Des and B F Tech) through this NIFTEE 2025 Registration must have a maximum age that is less than 24 years as on 1st August of the year of admission.

The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for candidates of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Person with Disability (PwD) categories.

Students aiming for master’s programs (M. Des, M.F.M and M.F. Tech) and Ph.D. through this NIFTEE 2025 registration must remember that there is no age limit.

Educational Qualification

B Des

Candidates applying for B Des through this NIFTEE 2025 registration must have below qualifications:

Passed the plus 2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education/State Board New Delhi/Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.

OR

A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.

OR

3 or 4 years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education after secondary examination/10th standard.

OR

Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to the 10+2 system.

OR

General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/International Baccalaureate (IB).

Passed the plus 2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi/Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi with Mathematics.

B F Tech

A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects with Mathematics.

OR

3 or 4 years diploma in any branch of Engineering recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education after secondary examination/10th standard.

OR

Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to the 10+2 system with Mathematics.

OR

General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level with Mathematics/International Baccalaureate (IB). Master of Design

Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute/University recognized by law in India.

M Des

Candidates aspiring for M Des through this NIFTEE 2025 registration must have Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT/NID.

Note: Master of Design (M.Des) is an advanced course that demands an understanding of fundamentals in design and presupposes that candidates would be familiar with the basic skills and theories for successful completion of the program.

The course will not provide any basic knowledge and skill development in design as a part of its curriculum.

Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M) Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute/University recognized by law in India.

MFM

Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT/NID.

M F Tech

B.F.Tech from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).

OR

B.E./B.Tech from any Institute/University recognized by law in India. OR B.F.Tech (4 years) from any Institute/University recognized by law in India.

They should have passed their qualifying exam with a minimum of 55% (General category applicants) and 50% (SC/ST category applicants).

Registration Fee

NIFTEE 2025 registration fee is Rs 3000 for Open/Open-EWS/OBC(NCL) for either B.Des. or B.F.Tech. or MFM or M.Des. or M.F.Tech. or Ph.D.)

SC/ST/PwD category applicants have to pay Rs 1500 as NIFTEE 2025 registration fee to apply either B.Des. or B.F.Tech. or MFM or M.Des. or M.F.Tech. Ph.D.)
