NEET UG exam result to be declared on great October 16
NEET UG exam result will be released on October 16 instead of its earlier planned October 12.
National Testing Agency (NTA) which conducts the NEET exam will be declaring the result. Sources say, NEET UG exam result was expected on October 12 as per the earlier planned schedule.
As per the sources, children who missed NEET UG exam on September 13 will be getting an opportunity to write the medical entrance exam on October 14.
As the exam is being conducted again for the second time, the declaration of NEET UG exam result which was expected to happen on October 12 will now be brought out on October 16.

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has also confirmed the news about NEET UG exam result.
‘@DG_NTA will be declaring the results of NEETUG 2020 on 16th October 2020. Exact timing of the results will be intimated later. I wish all the best to the candidates.’

Supreme Court also is said to have allowed students who missed the NEET exam on September 13 either due to being infected by COVID-19 or being in a containment zone to attend the exam on October 14.
A bench headed by Chief Justice of India S.A. Bobde said students who missed the NEET UG 2020 exam can appear on October 14 and added that NEET UG exam result can be declared on October 16.
This decision has come taking into consideration request by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to permit students who could not appear for NEET 2020 exam on September 13.
CBSE requested to allow students who could not attend NEET exam this year either owing to their testing as positive for COVID-19 or to due to their stay in a containment zone.
Interestingly various sources are making different types of guesses when it comes to declaring NEET UG exam result this year.
As per one such estimate, NEET UG exam result is likely to be declared by 1 pm on the result day (October 16).
Also sources further say, NEET UG exam result will be on display on the official website of the exam owned by NTA for a period of 90 days from the day of the result declaration.
After the official website downloads upon clicking anyone of the two links mentioned above, candidates can look for the link related to NEET UG exam result.
Once the link is found candidates have to click that. Usually, the link for accessing the exam results is made available below and applicants can scroll down the page and access the link for the result.
Soon after clicking the result link, a seperate webpage will download and candidates have to enter their roll number, admit card, date of birth and other related information and press ‘submit’ button.
Post clicking of ‘submit’ the result page will be displayed and once the result page is displayed candidates must check for errors on it.
In case they find any errors on it, they must take it to the notice of authorities concerned for rectification.
If no errors, candidates can go ahead with downloading of the score card. Post download, candidates must take a printout and preserve it for future purpose.
NEET UG exam result can also be checked on the mobile phone. Students have to open the browser on their cellphone and type the url of official website of NEET exam ‘ntaneet.nic.in’ and click the result link after the page downloads.
Post click of the result link, students must provide their login details and press ‘submit’ button.
Post declaration of NEET UG exam result, candidates who have the required cutoff marks or above it can attend the counselling conducted by Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) which comes under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Post declaration of NEET UG exam result, DGHS will be conducting NEET counselling for 15 percent All India Quota (AIQ) seats.
Reservation for the 85 percent quota seats is subject to policies of each state.
The cutoff marks in the NEET exam will be announced either shortly before the release of the result or along with the release of the NEET UG exam result.
Each of the subject will have 45 questions, Biology also comprises Botany and Zoology and the total marks in NEET exam is 720.
Question papers for NEET exam are available in English, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Telugu, Gujrati, Tamil, Bengali, Assamese and Kannada.
As per NEET UG exam result of last year, Nalin Khandelwal of Rajasthan topped NEET last year with a score of 701 out of 720. Similarly, Madhuri Reddy G. of Telangana stood NEET topper among girls with and all India rank of seven and a score of 695 out of 720.
Maximum number of aspirants to take up NEET last year were from Maharashtra. Sources say about 2,28,914 candidates attended NEET in Maharashtra.
