NEET UG 2022: Sees great attendance, 18L applications received
NEET UG 2022 has been successfully conducted on July 17 2022 across India. The attendance recorded at the test centres stood at 95% as per the sources. This is nothing short of a wonder. The exam was conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
There is more to it than meets the eye. As per the sources, over 18,72,329 candidates have applied for the exam and out of them, 10.64 lakh applicants were girls.
Large and small
What is the city in India from which candidates in large numbers took part in NEET UG 2022? Jaipur, where about 52,351 students have said to have appeared for the exam. Similarly, the attendance at minimum was said to have been seen in West Sikkim, where about 105 students are said to have taken part in the test.
Registration
The registration for NEET UG 2022 took place from 06 April 2022 to 06 May 2022. The best part was that a great deal of enthusiasm was seen during the registration. The admit card for the test was made available for download from July 12 2022 onwards. Students could visit the website for NEET UG 2022 to download the hall tickets.
S.K. Jaiganesh, a Physics teacher at a CBSE school felt Physics paper in the exam was quite easy. Though the other subjects were also werent that tough, Physics was quite easy, he says. Certain other students felt answering questions from Biology and Zoology required a bit of effort.

There is more to it, as far as question paper is concerned. Errors were said to have been noted in two questions in Botany, say sources. For certain questions, translation in Hindi was not available and owing to this there may be bonus points, say certain experts.
But things may not be that bright always, reminds T.S. Krishamurthy, biology teacher for 12th standard. Easy question paper sometimes can also mean, there would be chances of cutoff marks being higher this time.
Even before that, the answer keys are released on the official website in connection with NEET UG 2022 exam. Students can see the responses for each question in the answer key and compare it with the answers they have given in the exam and then analyze their score.
Candidates can also register their response for each question if they feel the answer for any question in the answer keys is not right by paying certain amount. The money to be paid would depend on the number of responses the candidates are likely to register.

Based on the responses received from the candidates, the final results are prepared and released along with the final answer keys. Cutoff score is also released along with the declaration of results for NEET UG 2022.
Students have to compare their score with that of the cutoff, cutoff marks are the minimum qualifying marks, the candidates have to score to be eligible for the next process of admission or to get finally selected for a seat.
The score of the candidates has to be either greater than cutoff or equal to it. Students who managed to get a score either greater than or equal to the cutoff can take part in the counselling which would be conducted by some other agency.
Score card
The score card of the candidates who have appeared for NEET UG 2022 can be downloaded on the official website for the exam. The official website has to be visited and appropriate link has to be clicked, post this, candidates can enter their NEET UG 2022 application number or roll number, date of birth and security code or password and submit them to download the marks.
Candidates who wish to study graduation in medicine in central government institutions can try for counselling in Phase 1 which will be conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). About 15 percent of UG medical seats will be filled through Phase 1, these seats are also known as All India Quota (AIQ) medical seats.
The second phase or Phase 2 of the counselling will fill the remaining 85% of UG medical seats in India. The counselling under this phase will be conducted by respective medical counselling committees of various states in India. The seats under this quota is also known as state quota medical seats.
Students who have passed NEET UG 2022 can choose either of the two phases for counselling keeping in mind their convenience.
