NEET UG 2021 exam has again become the talk of the town with NTA releasing the circular in connection with the popular exam.
A few days ago, news did rounds on various social media platforms that National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting NEET UG 2021 on 5 September.
While this has managed to garner great deal of attention from students and their parents, the exam conducting agency immediately swung into action and made matters clear by bringing out a notification saying there was no truth in the news that did rounds on social media platform.
The notification again specified that the no public notice was released by NTA regarding NEET UG 2021 saying the popular med entrance test would be conducted on 5 September.
The wrong news was released with a motive to misguide students, said the notification by NTA.
As far as the dates for conducting NEET UG 2021 is concerned, NTA said in the notification that the discussions were going on with the stakeholders concerned for finalising a suitable date for conducting the medical entrance exam.
The decided date for conducting NEET UG 2021 was 1 August. Things never remained smooth as far as education in this country was concerned.

The COVID-19 situation which caused much concern the previous year is also bothering the academic arena in current year too.
Whole lot of exams including CBSE 10th and 12th board exams were also postponed. State education boards also took the same stand when it came to 10th and 12th class exams.
April and May editions of JEE Mains 2021 were also postponed.
All these developments cast a doubt on every ones’ mind with regards to conduction NEET UG 2021 on the actually decided date.
This can mean in a way that NEET UG 2021 will likely not be conducted on date decided earlier.
However, it would not be good to jump to conclusion in this regard. Students can wait till there is an official information release from NTA.
They can go to the official websites for NEET UG 2021 – ‘www.nta.ac.in’ and ‘https://ntaneet.nic.in’ at regular intervals for any information regarding the well-known exam.
It is also worth noting that the date for conducting NEET UG 2021 was announced in March this year.
Everyone felt the eligibility criteria for the exam would be announced soon after the date was declared and also the application forms would be made available.
However, no such thing happened and students began worrying.
Educationists across the country feel, NEET UG 2021 application forms could be released as soon as the atmosphere becomes conducive for conducting the exam.
It looks like the authorities concerned do not want to do anything in a hurry as far as NEET UG 2021 is concerned.
Over 10 to 12 lakh candidates appear for this well-known exam every year, and safety is of prime concern as of now. So a decision has to be taken only after analyzing various situations.
The registration
However, the registration for NEET UG 2021 will be done online.
Which means candidates willing to apply for the test have to visit the official website of NEET UG 2021 to register.

Post webpage downloads, candidates have to click the appropriate link and take up registration and obtain username and password.
Applicants have to login with the help of username and password obtained during registration and start applying for NEET UG 2021.
They can fill the form, upload the needed documents, pay the registration fee and submit the form.
The same for Economically Weaker Section candidates of General category and OBC (NCL) category candidates is Rs 1400.
The registration fee for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender candidates is Rs 800.

The exact amount of the registration fee could vary due to various reasons. Details about the registration amount can be obtained from the information brochure about NEET UG 2021 which would be released on the official website of the exam in due course.
