NEET PG 2022 registration: Application open till great 4 February
NEET PG 2022 registration process has commenced from 3 pm of 15 January onwards and students aiming for postgraduate studies in medicine can apply for the exam.
National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has begun the process of NEET PG 2022 registration which will be open till 11:55 pm of 4 February.
Post NEET PG 2022 registration, candidates who have submitted applications will be able to make corrections. The facility to make corrections of mistakes (if any) in the applications will be open from 8 to 11 February 2022.
Applicants will be able to make corrections with regards to defects in images they have uploaded while filling the application form during NEET PG 2022 registration.
Facility to make correction of mistakes with regards to images of applicant’s photograph, signature and thumb impression will be open from 24 to 27 February.
The admit card will be made available for download on 7 March and exam will be held on 12 March this year and the result would be declared on 31 March this year.
Individuals who wish to study postgraduate courses in medicine (Doctor of Medicine-MD, Master of Surgery-MS) and diploma courses in colleges located across India have to appear for this exam which is conducted by NBEMS.
This is a computer based examination which will be conducted in a single day. Questions in the exam will be related to lessons taught at graduate level (MBBS) in medical colleges across the country.
NEET PG 2022 shall have 200 multiple choice questions which should be answered in a duration of 3 hours 30 minutes. Every correct answer would fetch 4 marks, wrong answers would lead to deduction of 25% marks.
Marks will not be deducted for questions left unanswered.
Applicants should also have completed the internship. Candidates who are about to complete the internship on or before 31 May 2022 can also apply.
Those willing to take up NEET PG 2022 registration must also be registered with National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council. The proof of registration must be shown on the day of the exam.
Abroad study
Indian citizens or overseas citizens of India who have completed their graduate medical studies in colleges on foreign shores must pass Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) which is conducted by NBEMS.
These applicants must also be registered with NMC or State Medical Council and should have completed their internship on or before 31 May 2022.
Candidates who fulfill the above conditions can take up NEET PG 2022 registration. They must bring their FMGE pass certificate on the day they appear for NEET PG 2022.
Foreign nationals
Candidates who are citizens of foreign nations can also take up NEET PG 2022 registration and write the exam. They however, have to obtain a temporary registration with NMC.
Foreign citizens can obtain temporary registration from NMC on payment of certain fee. This registration would however be limited to the institution where the foreign candidate is admitted for doing a postgraduate course.
Foreign citizens must also be registered with the authority concerned of his/her respective nation after completing the basic medical qualification.
Applicants can click any of the above mentioned urls, soon after the webpage downloads, they must click the appropriate link and create an account comprising username and password.
After creating an account, applicants can login to their account with help of username and password and start filling the application form. The form has to be filled, documents have to be uploaded, exam fee has to be paid and the application form has to be submitted finally.
Exam fee
The exam fee to be paid while NEET PG 2022 registration is Rs 4250 for applicants of General, OBC and EWS categories. The same for SC/ST/PwD category candidates is Rs 3250.
The phone support will also be available on the exam day (31 March) from 7 am to 7 pm. NBEMS Candidate Care will be closed on Saturday, Sunday and Gazetted holidays.
