NEET MDS counselling: Great registration starts on Aug 20
NEET MDS Counselling application process will take place from 20 to 24 August.
Students can submit their application in connection with NEET MDS counselling till 11:55 pm of August 24.
The counselling process will be held in various phases (rounds). Students who do not get the seat in one round can take part in another round.
MCC
Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will commence the registration process for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) MDS counselling for admission into postgraduate courses related to Dental Sciences.
Who can apply for NEET MDS counselling?
Candidates who cleared the NEET MDS exam can apply for the counselling. The examination was conducted on December 16 last year.
The results for NEET MDS exams were declared on December 31 last year. The exam went on for three hours.
How to apply
The process to apply for NEET MDS counselling is online.
Students have to visit the official website of MCC at ‘https://www.mcc.nic.in/#/home’
When the webpage downloads on clicking the above link, students have to choose ‘MDS Counselling’
After choosing ‘MDS Counselling’ and when another webpage with url ‘https://mcc.nic.in/Webinfo/Page/Page?PageId=1&LangId=P’ downloads, students have to click ‘Online Registration and Choice Filling’
and commence registration to obtain username and password.
After obtaining username and password, individuals must come to the link ‘https://mcc.nic.in/counseling/Root/Home.aspx?boardId=140022121’ and enter the username and password and start registering for NEET MDS counselling 2021.
Candidates can fill the form and pay the required fee and submit the application form.
Counselling
Students who registered themselves get to choose the college and the course they wish to study during the NEET MDS counselling process.
NEET MDS counselling will have four rounds – Round 1 and Round 2 with AIQ (All India Quota), Mop-Up Round and Stray Vacancy Round.
The three rounds of the above said NEET MDS counselling, will be held online and they are Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round.
The stray vacancy round of NEET MDS counselling will be conducted by the respective Deemed Universities.
The list of candidates registered for the stray round will be sent to the respective deemed universities by MCC.
Counselling process-2
Students have to register for counselling, pay the fee which comprises registration fee and security deposit).
After registration, participants will be able to choose the course they wish to study and the college they where they desire to complete the course.
After the students submit their choices, view, modify and lock them during NEET MDS counselling process.
Once the students submit their choices, the seat allotment result would be released.
Students who get the seat during NEET MDS counselling will report to the institution allotted and complete the admission formalities.
Point to remember
Individuals who did not get the seat in Round 1 of NEET MDS counselling can register and take part in Round 2 where the same above mentioned process will take place.
Those who get a seat in the second round (Round 2) of the counselling can report to the allotted college and undertake admission formalities.
If the desired seat is not obtained in the second round of the counselling, then students have to take part in either Mop-Up round or stray vacancy round.
Stray vacancy round will be conducted by the respective Deemed Universities as mentioned earlier.
Point to remember
Candidates who are aspiring to apply for the counselling must ensure that they are meeting all the eligibility conditions required.
This is to be done if one is to ensure that their applications are not rejected at a later stage.
