National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will conduct NEET MDS 2022 and candidates can visit the official website ‘https://nbe.edu.in/’ and begin applying for NEET MDS 2022.

The application submission for NEET MDS 2022 starts from 3 pm of 4 January and goes on till 11:55 pm of 24 January. Further information about the exam can be obtained from the Information Bulletin which is available on the official website of NEET MDS 2022 mentioned above.

The exam is expanded into National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Master in Dental Surgery (NEET MDS). Candidates who wish to study masters degree in Dental Sciences have to pass this exam with the required score.

Required score is the marks that candidates have to score to make them eligible for getting a seat in a dental college. The other name for this is ‘cutoff’ Candidates have to get marks either equal to the cutoff or above it to become eligible for a seat.

The cutoff will be announced along with the declaration of NEET MDS 2022 result. Sometimes, cutoff can be announced shortly before or after result declaration. The duration of the exam is three hours.

NEET MDS 2022 has 240 multiple choice questions related to the lessons of Dental Sciences taught at undergraduate (BDS) level. Correct response will fetch 4 marks, wrong response would lead to deduction of 25% marks. No marks would be deducted for questions not answered.

The applicant must also have undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/recognized dental college.

Point to remember

A candidate who after passing the final qualifying examination (BDS or the foreign dental degree recognized by GoI/DCI), is undergoing 12-month compulsory rotatory internship/practical training and is likely to complete the same by 31 March 2022 can take up NEET MDS 2022 examination, but he/she shall not be eligible for admission unless he/she has completed the compulsory rotatory internship and obtained provisional or permanent registration on or before 31 March 2022 or the candidate produces a certificate from the head of Institution that he/she will be completing internship by 31 March 2022. Candidate may visit the DCI website to know any change in date of Internship completion.

When the new page downloads, candidates can see the Information Bulletin and know everything about the exam. Post knowing, they can click ‘New Registration’ button on the same page and create an account comprising a username and password.

Post creating an account, applicants have to use username and password and login and fill the application form, upload the required documents, pay the registration fee and submit the form for NEET MDS 2022.

Registration fee
The registration fee NEET MDS 2022 is Rs 4250 for applicants from General, OBC and EWS categories. The same for applicants from SC/ST/PWD categories is Rs 3250.

Important dates

The registration commences from 3 pm of 4 January and applicants can submit applications for NEET MDS 2022 exam till 11:55 pm of 24 January. The facility to edit application forms will be open from 28 to 31 January.

The correction facility will be open for second time from 12 to 15 February. Applicants will be able to make corrections with regards to photograph, signature and thumb impression.

The admit card will be made available for download on 1 March 2022. NEET MDS 2022 will be conducted on 6 March 2022 and result would be announced by 21 March 2022.

NEET UG 2025 application submission fees

NEET UG 2025 application submission fees is Rs 1700 for General category candidates and NRI applicants. The same is Rs 1600 for General-EWS/OBC-NCL category applicants.

SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender category applicants have to pay Rs 1000 while taking up NEET UG 2024 registration.
