Mahindra University (MU) Hyderabad’s School of Law is set to introduce integrated five-year programs in B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and BBA, LL.B. (Hons.), along with a 6-year B.Tech, LL.B. (Hons.) program starting from the academic year 2024-25, pending approval from the Bar Council of India. Mahindra University School of Law BA & BBA LLB (Hons.) 2024-2025

The School of Law offers the BBA, LL.B. (Hons.) program, an undergraduate integrated program that focuses on the interrelationship of Management Studies and Law. This program covers subjects like Fundamentals of Management, Financial Accounting, Effective Communication, and Computer Application in the business part, along with Law of Torts, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Civil Wrongs, Administrative Law, Company Law, Property Law, Family Law, and Alternate Dispute Resolution in the law subjects.

Similarly, the B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) program is an undergraduate program with a multi-disciplinary approach to cater to the requirements of the field of law. It includes subjects like English, History, Sociology, Political Science, Law, and Economics, preparing students for various career paths such as litigation, judiciary, academia, corporate legal consultation, and more. (Hons.) and BBA, LL.B.(Hons.) programs are designed to be completed over five years, with the degree being awarded upon successful fulfilment of the academic program and curricula approved by the Academic Council of the University. For the academic year 2024-25, the proposed intake for each specialization is as follows:

• B.A., LL.B. (Hons.): 60
• BBA, LL.B.(Hons.): 120

Mahindra University School of Law Eligibility Criteria 

The Mahindra University School of Law eligibility criteria for the B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and BBA, LL.B.(Hons.) programmes at Mahindra University are as follows: 

• Applicants must have completed 10+2 or equivalent from any statutory board with 60% aggregate marks in all subjects or equivalent grades for students from IB or other approved Boards.
• A valid CLAT 2024 examination score (Exact cut-off score / All India Rank would be announced upon announcement of results), OR
• A valid LSAT Test Score, OR
• Qualification in Mahindra University Law Entrance Test-2024 (MULET 2024). The first round of MULET 2024 is scheduled for 21st January 2024, with the last date to apply being 9th January 2024. 
• MULET 2024 details include 90 multiple-choice questions.

• Questions: 90 Multiple Choice Questions, details are as follows:
• Total Marks: 90 (each question carries 1 mark) 
• Negative Marking: 0.25 Marks will be deducted for every wrong answer

Mahindra University School of Law Admission Procedure

For students aspiring to enrol in the Mahindra University School of Law, the admission procedure is as follows:

Step 1:

• Apply online at www.mahindrauniversity.edu.in by completing the application form.
• Upload the latest scanned photograph during Online Registration.

Payment Instructions:

• Follow the guidelines for paying the Registration and processing fee of Rs. 1000.

Payment through Cash:

• After online registration, pay the application fee of Rs. 1000 in cash at any bank in your city/country.
• Upload the acknowledgement copies of the cash receipts from the bank on the Application Portal.
• Send the original acknowledgement copy of the cash receipt from the bank to Mahindra University at the following address:

Payment through Demand Draft:

• For payment through Demand Draft, the applicant must obtain a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 1000 from any Scheduled Bank in favour of “Mahindra University” payable at Hyderabad, India. 
• They should fill in the DD details in the DD payment option in the Application Portal and include the Student Name, Application No., and Mobile Number along with the DD on a separate paper. This paper, along with a photocopy of the Demand Draft for further reference, should be sent to the Admissions Office at Mahindra University, Survey No: 62/1A, Bahadurpally, Jeedimetla, Hyderabad – 500043, Telangana, INDIA.

Payment through Online Payment

• For online payment through a Credit Card, the candidate may pay directly through either a Master’s or Visa card online by following the instructions on the website after registration.
• For online payment through Net Banking, the candidate may transfer the Registration fees to the ‘Mahindra University account using the Net Banking option after registration.
• All disputes between the Applicant and Mahindra University shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Hyderabad city and by Arbitrator only.
• The Application Fee for students applying is INR 1000.

Step 2: The applicant must ensure that relevant academic and entrance exam details are updated in the application portal. They should also upload required scorecards and other documents and select branch preferences in the application portal. It is important to fill out and submit the application form online. Duly submitted and eligible applications will be considered for admission according to University guidelines. If necessary, students may be called in for a physical or virtual counselling session. Once shortlisted, eligible applicants will receive an admission offer via email from the University with the necessary instructions and information.

While applying does not guarantee admission to the Mahindra University School of Law, selection is subject to assessment by a panel/selection committee and the availability of seats at the time of allocation. 

Mahindra University School of Law Fee Structure

The fee structure for the B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and BBA, LL.B. (Hons.) programs at Mahindra University School of Law is as follows:

• Academic Fees: Rs. 3,50,000 per annum (All Inclusive Academic Fees)
• Hostel Charges: Rs. 2,25,000 per annum (All Inclusive Hostel & Mess Charges) [not mandatory to reside on campus]
• Caution Deposit: Rs. 20,000 (Refundable at the end of study and graduation)

Please note that hostel stay is not mandatory for students of B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and BBA, LL.B. (Hons.) programs, and all fees are subject to revision every year.
