LG Electronics launches 'Life’s Good Scholarship' in India; offering up to Rs 2 lakh
As per the company, selections for the Life’s Good Scholarships would be made based on two basic criteria: need-based and merit-based.
Consumer durable brand LG Electronics today announced the launch of its flagship CSR initiative -Life’s Good Scholarship Programme in India. The Scholarship program is proposed by LG Electronics to support students from all over the country by giving them financial assistance for pursuing higher education, specially education of the girl child.

LG Electronics India organised today, August 28, the first edition of its marquee scholarship program at its corporate office, Noida. During the occasion the managing director of LG Electronics India felicitated scholars from three institutions- Galgotias University, Jaipuria Institute of Management and Lloyd Law College.
A United effort by Buddy4Study Foundation with LG Electronics
The Life’s Good Scholarship, in collaboration with the NGO Buddy4Study Foundation, would assist in the selection and sponsorship process for equalizing opportunities in education for meritorious and underprivileged students. The LG press statement read, “With this scheme, LG Electronics seeks to create a dent by bridging the financial gap in education and facilitating the development of future leaders.”
LG Life’s Good Scholarship: Eligibility and Financial Aid
Students at any stage of higher education, having a minimum of 60% in the previous academic year, will avail the Life’s Good Scholarship Programme. The scholarships will be awarded based on one’s financial need and academic merit. This financial assistance will cover tuition fees up to 50%, with a ceiling of maximum Rs 1 lakh for undergraduate students and up to INR 2 lakh for postgraduate students, whichever is lower.
Need-based and merit-based scholarships
In the need-based category, 25 percent scholarships will be kept reserved for students from economically weaker sections. Merit-based scholarships, on the other hand, are given to those who attain a minimum score of 75 percent in their Class 12 exams or maintain a 7 GPA in the latter years. Additionally, with an aim of encouraging girl child education, 25 percent of the total merit-based scholarships distributed will be reserved for exceptionally performing girl students.
