University of Mysore has postponed the exam taking into consideration the spike in corona virus cases recently.

KSET 2021 was to be held on 11 April which was postponed to 25 April. Sources say, the new dates for the test would be announced after review of the situation.

2. Physics lecturer results
West Bengal has become the centre of attraction when the results for recruitment of Physics lecturers were released.

Sources familiar with latest education news say, West Bengal Public Service Commission released the results.

Candidates selected will be posted as Physics lecturers in Government Polytechnic institutions in West Bengal.

The results can be viewed at the official website ‘wbpsc.gov.in’

3. Admit cards for ATMA
Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) which conducts ATMA exam for MBA admissions has released the admit cards.

Sources familiar with latest education news say the admit cards are for April session of ATMA exam.

Halltickets for ATMA test is available on the official website ‘atmaaims.com’ The exam is on 25 April.

Applicants can visit the website and click the login link.

Soon after the new webpage downloads, applicants can enter their username and password to see the hallticket on the screen.

Candidates have to check for errors in the hallticket after it is visible on the screen. If no errors, they can download the admitcard.

In case of errors, applicants have to take it to the notice of the authorities concerned for rectification.

4. Bihar Police Driver Constable
Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC) of Bihar released the examination date for physical efficiency test in connection with recruitment of constable (Bihar Police Driver).

The physical efficiency test will be conducted on May 7, say sources familiar with latest education news.

The admit card will be made available on April 25. Applicants can download the admitcards on the official website ‘csbc.bih.nic.in’

However, sources keeping track of latest education news say, candidates who passed the written test in connection with constable recruitment will be able to attend the physical efficiency test.

Applicants can visit the official website and click the appropriate link for the download of admitcard and enter the username and password.

Once username and password are entered, they can view the admitcard on another page, once the website is visible, candidates can download it.

5. IAF invites applications
Indian Air Force (IAF) is inviting application for various vacancies of Group C category available with it.

The vacancies are Stenographer, Superintendent, Cook, Housekeeping Staff, MTS, LDC, CS and SMW, Carpenter, Laundryman, Ayah, Hindi Typist and others.

6. Applications invited for AAO vacancy
Bihar Public Service Commission is inviting application for the post of Assistant Audit Officer (AAO).

Sources well acquainted with latest education news say the vacancy is under Audit Directorate of Finance Department of Government of Bihar.

Individuals have to apply for the post on or before May 15.

Sources familiar with latest education news say the total vacancies is 138 and applicants must be graduates in Commerce, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics from a recognised university.

7. IIM Ahmedabad virtually inaugurates programme
Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad also managed to attract the attention of those who follow latest education news.

IIM Ahmedabad inaugurated the 16th batch of MBA-PGPX programme virtually. The programme was held virtually owing to COVID-19 situation.

8. Changes in assessment procedure
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is said to working on bringing changes in connection with examination and assessment.

Competency based questions are more about application of concepts in daily life or unfamiliar situations.

As per the changes, the question paper for classes 11 and 12 will have 20 percent competency-based questions and 20 percent objective type questions.

9. Kendriya Vidyalaya Class 1 admission
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghatan (KVS) has postponed the release of provisional selection list of candidates for admission into class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country.

The sudden rise in the number of COVID infections has led to the decision of postponement.

The provisional selection and waitlist were to be released on April 23, say sources tracking the latest education news.

The new dates in this regard will be announced soon. It was only recently that the registration for admission into class 1 began.

Admission into class 1 is held online, the same for other classes is conducted offline.

10. Clarity in exam schedule
JEE Mains April was postponed recently keeping in view the rising number of corona virus infections.

Sources keeping track of latest education news say, JEE Main April postponement has triggered a speculation among the students about NEET UG 2021.

Students and parents want to know if NEET UG also will be postponed this year as JEE Mains was.

There is a growing demand among students to postpone NEET UG exam this year. There has been no response so far from National Testing Agency (NTA).

Many stateboard exams for classes 10 and 12 have also been postponed.
