KVS admission 2020: Registration for admission into great KVs begins
KVS admission 2020 is all about commencement of registration for admission into class 1 and 2 in Kendriya Vidyalayas.
Parents interested in admitting their children into classes 1 Kendriya Vidyalayas can visit the official website ‘kvsangathan.nic.in’ and begin registering.
Similarly, registration for seats in Class 2 under KVS admission 2020 will take place from 8 am of 20 July till 4 pm of 25 July.
Admission for classes 1 and 2 through KVS admission 2020 are for academic year 2020-2021. As far as entry into Class 1 through KVS admission 2020 is concerned, the first list will be made 11 August.
The second list for Class 1 will be declared on 24 August and third list will be declared on 26 August if seats remain vacant. As far as admission for Class II is concerned, the list will be declared on 29 July.
The admission for Class 2 will be held between 30 July to 7 August. Parents who are willing to apply for KVS admission 2020 have to do it online this time.
Sources from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghatan (KVS) said parents willing to apply for KVS admission 2020 must avoid coming to office of Kendriya Vidyalayas owing to COVID-19 pandemic.

Application process for KVS admission 2020 for Class 1
Parents of the students must visit the official website with help of url ‘https://kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in/index.html’
Once the website is downloaded, applicants must press the button ‘Click here to register’ written on orange background.
After the webpage is downloaded, applicants must scroll it down till after reading the required instructions on how to fill the form.
After reading all the instructions, applicants for KVS admission 2020 must click on the checkbox which says ‘I have carefully gone through all the instructions mentioned above and I shall abide by them.’
After the checkbox is clicked, button titled ‘PROCEED’ must be pressed to commence registration to obtain registration ID. Using the registration ID, applicants can commence applying for KVS admission 2020 for seats in Class 1.
Mobile App
The other method to apply for seats in Class 1 through KVS admission 2020 is through the mobile app ‘Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Admissions 2020-21.
The app is available on Google Playstore. It can be accessed at the url ‘https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kvsadmissions’
Using this app also one can submit applications for seats in Class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalayas through KVS admission 2020.
Using this app, applicants can
1.Register a child’s application
2.Fill in the child’s and parents’ details
3.Select up to 3 choices of Kendriya Vidyalayas in India
4.Specify service priority categories for determining priority of the child’s application
5.Upload the child’s passport sized photo and date of birth certificate for verification
6.Preview the application before submitting it
7.Submit the application
8.Check the status of the application
9.Re-apply using previously saved data or fill a fresh application
10.Save draft application
This application has a facility to fill the form without access to internet once you have registered and logged in.
The applicant will however need internet connection to finally submit the form.
Data the applicant fills in the application using this app will be shared with Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for consideration of the child’s application only if after the form is finally submitted by the parent.
The method to apply for seats in Class 2 and other classes except class 11 will be preferably offline.
Application form for applying can be downloaded at the official website ‘https://kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in/index.html’ and send the filled one through email of Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Points to remember
Registration shall not be done if there is no vacancy or likelihood of any vacancy in a particular class.
In case a vacancy arises in future, registration can be made after giving wide publicity at local level/Vidyalaya website and admission can be granted as per KVS Admission Guidelines.
Various certificates must be attached while uploading the application for admission into Class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalaya through KVS admission 2020.
Certificates issued by Municipal council, Municipal Corporation, date of birth information from records of village panchayat are the ones which will be accepted.
A scanned picture of these documents have to be uploaded while filling the application form. The original copy of the certificate has to be produced at Kendriya Vidyalaya while taking admission.
