Karnataka NEET UG counselling: List out on Nov 7
Karnataka NEET UG counselling has begun, and mock seat allotment result was released on November 7, 2022. It is all about admission into undergraduate medical and dental courses in colleges located in Karnataka. It all began with NEET UG exam which was conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on July 17, 2022.
The result was declared for NEET UG this year on 7 September 2022 in online mode. Students who appeared for the exam could know the result from the official website of the exam hosted by NTA. Post knowing the result, students could participate in counselling process to get admission into medical, dental courses.
Counselling process is done in two modes – all India level and state level. All India level counselling is conducted and students who wish to join central institutions like AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER for studying MBBS or BDS can opt for this counselling which is also known as All India Quota (AIQ) and is conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
The other way is filling the seats for MBBS and BDS through state quota, counselling to fill the seats under state quota is conducted by authorities concerned of the respective states. It is here where the Karnataka NEET UG Counselling comes into vogue.

Students, to view the results have to visit the website of KEA at ‘https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/’ Soon after the webpage downloads on clicking the above url, students can click ‘Admissions’ Menu on top left side below the url bar and then choose NEETUG option and wait for another webpage to download.

Soon after another webpage downloads, students have to enter their CET number and then type the Captcha to view the mock seat allotment result. Students after viewing the result in connection with Karnataka NEET UG counselling can download it and take a printout and preserve it for future use.
Point to remember
Students must remember that the options (choice of the course and college where they wish to study it) they have entered till 6 PM on 6 November 2022 will be considered for mock allotment. Students have also been provided with an opportunity to change their options.
The list of seat allotment in connection with Karnataka NEET UG counselling is an indication and is not that the students would receive the same seat as shown in the mock seat allotment list. A seat in the same college chosen or as shown in the mock list may not be provided to students.
Seats can be provided in different colleges, chances to get a seat in the same institution come down as other students change their choices also. Karnataka NEET UG counselling could take place in more than one rounds, students who do not get seats of their choice can try in subsequent rounds.
