JNVST 2022: Entrance test registration till great December 15
JNVST 2022 registration date for class 6 has been extended till December 15. The test would be conducted on 30 April next year. Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has extended the last date for applying for the exam.
The test is for those candidates who wish to take admission in class 6 in Navodaya Vidyalaya.

The notification on the official website says the last date to apply for JNVST 2022 is 15.12.2021. The notification regarding the extension of the last date for apply for JNVST 2022 can be accessed at the url ‘https://cbseitms.nic.in/PDF/Notification%20class%20VI.pdf’
The notification further says candidates may apply free of cost by visiting the website ‘www.novodaya.gov.in’
Point to remember
Admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is done based on an entrance test which is known as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). The test is designed and conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
# Scanned image of candidate’s signature. The size of the image must be 10 to 100 kb
# Scanned image of parent’s signature. The size of the image must be from 10 to 100 kb
# Photograph of the candidate. The size of the image should be from 10 to 100 kb
# Certificate signed by parent and candidate. The size of the image should be between 50 to 300 kb
Eligibility
Applicants who wish to apply for JNVST 2022 must have studied class 5 for an entire academic session in government/government aided or other recognized school.
The applicants must not be born before May 1 2009 and after April 30 2013. Only candidates from the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been opened are eligible to apply for admission.

Even candidates who have passed B Certificate Competency Course of National Institute of Open Schooling in the same district where they seek admission can also apply for JNVST 2022.
Applicants must be in the age group of 9 to 13 years. This is applicable to candidates of all categories, including those who belong to the Scheduled Castes(SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs).
A candidate claiming admission from rural quota must have studied and passed Classes- III, IV and V from a Government/Government Aided/recognised school spending one full academic session each year in a school located in a rural area.

As the new webpage opens, applicants can read the instructions and keep the documents ready. The documents to be uploaded while filling the form for JNVST 2022 have been mentioned earlier.

The candidates can fill the application form with required information, upload the required documents and pay the application fees and then submit the form.
Applicants can wait for the submission confirmation message and once the message is obtained candidates can take a printout and preserve it for future use. Applicants (students) can fill the form in the company of their parents.
Exam
JNVST 2022 test will have questions related to mental ability, arithmetic and language. The mental ability will have a weightage of 50 percent, arithmetic will have a weightage of 25 percent and language will have a weightage of 25 percent.
Candidates have to answer 80 questions which are for a total of 100 marks in two hours duration.
JNVST 2022 will be conducted in various languages. The languages would depend on the locality and state where the exam is being conducted. Example, the test in Arunachal Pradesh will be held in English and Hindi.
The same test will be conducted in English, Hindi, Marathi and Kannada in Goa.
