There is a happy news for the aspirants of JEE Main 2020 Exam. Sources say, the deadline for registering for the exam has been extended till 12 March from its earlier decided closing date of 6 March. This is a blessing in disguise for the candidates aspiring to write the well-known exam.
Candidates who could not register till now due to some valid reason can now go ahead with the registration. This measure is expected to give scope for more number of candidates to take the prestigious exam. An official note from National Testing Agency (NTA) which conducts the exam says the decision was made keeping in view many requests it received for extending the deadline.
The notice can be accessed at the official link ‘https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/WebInfo/Handler/FileHandler.ashx?i=File&ii=300&iii=Y’ As per the decision, candidates can register their applications till 5:00 pm of 12 March. Last date for the payment of the application fee now will be 11:50 pm of 12 March. The fee payment can be made through credit card, debit card, net banking and PayTM Service.
Post registration, candidates who feel they have to make corrections in the data provided in the application form except for the choice of the cities can take up correction work on their application at the official website ‘jeemain.nta.nic.in‘ from 13 to 16 March, corrections can be done till 11:50 pm of 16 April. NTA notification mentions that candidates must use the opportunity very wisely and undertake corrections very carefully as no further chance will be provided.
The other information regarding the exam are the same. In case of any queries regarding online application and fee payment, applicants can make calls to NTA Helpdesk at 0120-6895200. Even the Query Redressal System (QRS) available on the JEE (Main) website can utilized to clear the doubts regarding the same issues.
