JEE Advanced 2023: All the Great Information is Here
JEE Advanced 2023 registration will take place from 30 April 2023 to 4 May 2023. It is for students who are keen on joining IITs located across India for graduate engineering courses.
Indian Institutes of Technology which are also popularly known as IIT or IITs are situated across the country. They are known for engineering education at graduation and post-graduation.
Many of these IITs also offer courses from other streams like arts and humanities and management. The program in engineering at graduation is popularly known as BTech, it is also known as Bachelor in Technology.
The score in JEE Advanced 2023 will be considered while providing admission into graduate engineering programs and also architecture courses offered by IIT.
JEE Advanced 2023 will be conducted on 4 June 2023. Admit cards for the test will be opened for download from May 29 to June 4, 2023. IIT Guwahati will be conducting JEE Advanced 2023.
Individuals have to pass JEE Advanced 2023 with minimum qualifying marks also known as cutoff scores. They are the minimum marks candidates have to score in the exam to be eligible for further process.
Scores of the candidates in JEE Advanced 2023 must be either greater than the cutoff marks or equal to them to be eligible for further process. The further process likely involves counselling and document verification.
What is the JEE Advanced 2023 Exam?
The full name is Joint Entrance Examination Advanced and is a national-level entrance test that is conducted once a year. JEE Advanced 2023 is meant to be conducted this year (2023).
JEE Advanced 2023 will be conducted online where answers have to be marked on a computer. The format of questions is multiple choice, where each question will have more than one option and the right one has to be chosen to get the marks.
The exam has questions related to mathematics, physics and chemistry that are taught in class 12 regularly in recognized educational institutions located across India.
Who can apply for the exam?
The eligibility to apply for JEE Advanced 2023 is a pass in class 12 from a recognized educational institution located anywhere in India. The subjects in plus two can be from any stream.
Applicants from India must have passed JEE Mains exam with a score that comes under the top 2.5 lakh ranks on an all-India basis. Applicants can be a resident of any state or union territory of India.
Individuals who are from a foreign nation can also apply. The information in this regard can be availed from the prospectus. Foreign nationals
They must have passed plus-two or its equivalent from a recognized educational institution from the science stream with mathematics, physics and chemistry as subjects. Information in great detail is available in the official prospectus.
How to apply?
The process to apply for JEE Advanced 2023 is online and candidates have to visit the official website of the exam hosted by IIT Guwahati to submit applications. The URL to reach it is ‘https://jeeadv.ac.in/’
The URL mentioned above has to be typed into the browser of the computer and the website has to be allowed to download. The process differs here as applicants are divided into two categories – Indian citizens and foreign nationals and the process to register is different for both these categories.
Foreign applicants
Once the web page is available in the browser, candidates must click the registration link. Post clicking the link, candidates can provide details like their name, date of birth, and email id and create an account comprising a username and password. Once the account is ready, candidates can log in and start filling out the application form for JEE Advanced 2023.
The form has to be filled and the registration fee has to be paid and submitted. Post submission, applicants have to wait for the message indicating successful submission, once it is obtained, it can be downloaded and a printout of it has to be taken and preserved for future use.
Indian applicants
Eligibility for Indian applicants is a pass in plus-two and also in JEE Mains. They can visit the official website mentioned above and click the registration link.
Post clicking the registration link, they can enter their JEE Mains roll number, date of birth and other information and log in and start filling out the application form for JEE Advanced 2023. The registration fee is to be paid and the form has to be submitted.
After application submission
Students have to appear for JEE Advanced 2023 on 4 June 2023 and pass it with the required qualifying marks to be eligible for the next process which involves counselling and document verification.
The results of JEE Advanced 2023 will be displayed on the official website on June 18, 2023. Students who wish to join graduation in engineering (BTech) can apply for counselling conducted by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority).
Scores in the JEE Advanced 2023 have to be mentioned while appearing for the counselling process. Students who get a seat in the course of their choice in IITs can pay the fees and join the classes.
Architecture
Students who wish to study architecture can apply for AAT 2023 after the declaration of JEE Advanced 2023 results. AAT 2023 (Architecture Aptitude Test 2023) application submission will be open from 18 to 19 June 2023.
AAT 2023 will be conducted on 21 June 2023. The results will be declared on 25 June 2023. Students who have passed AAT 2023 with the required qualification marks can apply for counselling to get admission into BArch courses offered by IITs.
