JEE Advanced 2021 - New Dates & Other Information
JEE Advanced 2021 dates have got changed because of the ongoing pandemic in India. Joint Entrance Examinations Advanced is an annual academic examination in India. This examination is conducted under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board by one of the seven zonal IITs.
JEE Advanced is the examination that the students have to give to only get admission in the IITs of India. This exam is the sole prerequisite for admission to the IITs. The difference between JEE Main and JEE Advanced is that through JEE Mains, one can also get admission in IITs, NITs, and some other colleges of India.

There are two papers in this exam. The first paper exam timing is 9 am to 12 pm. The second paper exam timing is 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

Exam pattern
The JEE Advanced exams are for 3 hours & for the PWD candidates, it is for 4 hours. There are three sections in both the papers & both of them have Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as their main subjects. The exam has a concept of full, partial and zero marks.
The pattern for papers for all three subjects is the same. Section 1 has MCQs with one or more correct answers. The total number of questions in this is 6. The second section has Numerical value answer type questions. There are altogether eight questions in this section.
Section 3 is a paragraph based question that has 2 paragraphs, each having 2 MCQs with one correct answer only. There are four questions in the third section. There are altogether 54 questions in each paper. The total marks for both papers are 188 each.
Qualification for JEE Advanced 2021
To give the JEE Advanced examinations, the candidates must have done their 12th from any board. They might have given some other equivalent exams to the 12th board as that is applicable too. The candidates who have appeared for the 2021 board exams for the 12th standard are also entirely eligible for JEE Advanced 2021 examinations.
Why was the exam postponed?
The JEE Advanced 2021 exams got postponed for three months from July 3rd to October 3rd because of the ongoing pandemic in India. India was severely hit by the Covid second wave because of which most of the exams in India were either cancelled or postponed.
