The Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, recently held its annual convocation event that saw the graduating Class of 2024 passing out. The event was held at the institute’s campus in Ghaziabad on October 19, 2024. The institute has upheld a precious legacy of over 44 years in management education; it has followed the tradition of hosting the event to acknowledge the academic brilliance of its students, said an IMT Ghaziabad statement.
More than 670 PGDM, PGDM ExP, and PGDM part-time programme graduates were awarded diplomas during the ceremony. The event marked the culmination of the students’ years of hard work, dedicated efforts, and outstanding academic achievements for the IMT Ghaziabad to celebrate the Class of 2024 as a grand opportunity.
Suresh Narayanan, chairman and managing director of Nestlé India Limited, attended the ceremony. With his extensive corporate world experience, the visit by Narayanan further endowed insightful takeaways to the occasion with his wisdom and depth of knowledge, according to a statement from IMT Ghaziabad.
Many students, faculty members, and distinguished guests were present at the convocation ceremony in an atmosphere of achievement, reflection, and inspiration to honour the graduates.
Convocation Ceremony at IMT Ghaziabad
IMT Ghaziabad, too, celebrated its alumni through a convocation ceremony to mark their achievements.
The Alumnus Award was given to Neelendra Singh, Batch of 1999, managing director, GM at Adidas India. He motivated the graduates to think entrepreneurially and not fear career risks.
Young Alumnus Achievers Award was given to Vaibhav Vijay Tambe from Batch of 2010, CEO of Transbank, and Ashutosh Burnwal, Batch of 2012, CEO of Buddy4Study, for their innovation and resilience.
Tambe further emphasized the need to develop inner passion through taking risks and innovating. Still, Burnwal asked graduates to be resilient but socially responsible, according to the statement in IMT Ghaziabad.
President and chief mentor of IMT Ghaziabad, Kamal Nath, addressed the students while speaking to them on the importance of continuous learning and community engagement. He said: “Graduates, today marks a very crucial milestone in your journey. As you prepare to enter the world, remember that your role as a leader should be one of collaboration and teamwork, always striving for the greater good.”
