IIT Madras webinars to speak on great topics of national relevance
IIT Madras webinars is all about the webinars going to be organised by the well-known educational institution to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The IIT Madras webinars will deal with topics of national relevance and would be a part of the ‘SIDDHI’ fortnightly webinar series as the ‘Health and Environment Week.’
The SIDDHI (Self-reliant India: Discussions and Dialogues for Humane Innovations) webinar series, IIT Madras webinars will focus on topics namely ‘socially relevant technologies’ ‘technology for self-reliance (Atma Nirbhar Bharat) and ‘technology and rural development’

IIT Madras webinars will be conducted from 1 to 4 October.
The webinars would start after a grand inauguration by IIT Madras director Dr. Bhaskar Ramamurthi. Several important topics will be discussed during IIT Madras webinars.
Speaking about IIT Madras webinars, Professor Raghunathan Rengaswamy, Dean (Global Engagement), IIT Madras said they are very happy to present discussions by eminent people addressing important problems in health and environment faced by our nation today.

The first topic to be discussed in the IIT Madras webinars is ‘Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in India: where are we and the way forward?’ This has been scheduled for 6.30 pm on 1 October.
The session would be moderated by Prof. V.R. Muraleedharan, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Madras, and feature eminent speakers including Dr. Girija Vaidyanathan, former Chief Secretary, Government of Tamil Nadu.

The next session in IIT Madras webinars will speak on ‘Wastewater Management in the 21st Century’ and would be held at 7:30 pm on 3 October.
It would be addressed by Prof. George Tchobanoglous, Emeritus Professor, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of California, and moderated by Professor Indumathi M. Nambi, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Madras.
