IIT Jodhpur launched BSc BEd course has got phenomenal response. The course was launched on 2 September 2024 with 50 seats.

ITEP
The Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) at IIT Jodhpur, launched in alignment with the National Education Policy 2020, offers a distinctive opportunity for the IIT ecosystem to make a direct impact on the education sector.
Starting in 2024, IIT Jodhpur offers the ITEP (B.Sc.-B.Ed.) for the Secondary Stage, with majors in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
This programme is designed to address the critical needs of the Secondary Stage (classes IX to XII), a pivotal phase in a student’s educational journey that serves as a transition between school and higher education.
Challenges
The challenges at the Secondary Stage are significant, including the need to retain students within the school system, stream them according to their innate potential and interests, and prepare them with the necessary technological and discipline-specific exposure required for future academic and career pursuits.
IIT Jodhpur’s B.Sc.-B.Ed. program is uniquely positioned to address these challenges by combining its strengths in cutting-edge science disciplines with the expertise of a dedicated Center for Education & Technology for Education (CETE).
