Applicants for the MA program at IIT Gandhinagar must have passed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% pass marks.
Aspirants for the MSc course must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% pass marks or with a CGPA of 5.5. Individuals who have appeared for the final year exams of their qualifying degree and are waiting for the results or those who are about to appear for their final exams can also apply. However, these students have to pass the qualifying degree exam and produce proof of it by the time of admission.
Process of selection for programs of IIT Gandhinagar
Students who submitted applications for the courses offered by IIT Gandhinagar have to take part in a written test and pass that with the required qualifying marks to become eligible for appearing in an interview.
A score of the students in the written test has to be either greater than the minimum qualifying score or equal to it. The minimum qualifying marks also known as cutoff marks will be announced along with the release of the results for the written test or shortly after the declaration of results.

The details about the program will be visible, students can read about them and then click the ‘Apply Now’ button and commence registration and obtain an account comprising a username and password. Post account creation, candidates can log in and fill out the form for the course at IIT Gandhinagar and pay the registration fee and submit the application.
Once the application for the course by IIT Gandhinagar is submitted, candidates have to wait for the message indicating successful submission. Post obtaining the message, candidates can download it and take a printout of it and preserve it for future use.
Point to remember
Students submitting applications for the courses at IIT Gandhinagar must remember that they need not send a hard copy of the application. The copy must be furnished along with other required documents during the interview. Applications left incomplete will be rejected. The registration fee for applying to courses at IIT Gandhinagar is Rs 150 (SC/ST/PwD) and Rs 300 (for candidates of all other categories).
