It is to note that JEE Advanced 2023 the exam required for gaining admission into IITs was conducted on 4 June 2023 and its results were declared on 18 June 2023.

The criteria to select students for admission is the marks scored in JEE Mains if they apply for seats in NIT+System institutions.

IIT Admission 2023 and seats

This time the number of seats available for IIT Admission 2023 is 17,485. This is an increase from that of the previous year. Seats in IITs across India during the last year were 16,598.

How to go for register for JoSAA counselling for IIT Admission 2023?

The process to apply for counselling in connection with IIT Admission 2023 is online and candidates can visit the official website of JoSAA at ‘https://josaa.nic.in/’

1. The above-mentioned URL must be typed into the browser and the website must be allowed to download.

2. Once the webpage is available, candidates can scroll down the page and then click the button Registration and Choice Filling for JoSAA 2023

3. Clicking the above button will open another webpage with URL ‘https://josaa.admissions.nic.in/applicant/root/candidatelogin.aspx’

4. When the webpage with the above URL appears, candidates can type the username which is the JEE Advanced 2023 or JEE Mains 2023 registration number, the password to be typed is the same password that is created while registering for JEE Mains or JEE Advanced.

5. After entering the username and password, the security pin also has to be typed and submitted to enter.

6. After login, candidates have to take up choice filling in connection with IIT Admission 2023.

Important dates

The registration for counselling in connection with IIT Admission 2023 began on 19 June 2023. The last date to register for counselling is 28 June 2023.

There will be six rounds of seat allocation. Candidates looking forward for BArch seats can go for choice filling from 24 June 2023 onwards. The detailed schedule is accessible here.

The process of submitting the application started on 15 July 2024. Admit card for the exam will be available for download from 20 December 2024.

Exam will be conducted on 5 January 2025 from 2:00pm to 5:30pm. The process of application (XAT 2025 Registration) has begun.

About the exam

The full name of the exam is Xavier Aptitude Test which is popularly known to all as XAT. It is conducted every year by XLRI of Jamshedpur.

It is a national level exam that has to be passed to gain admission into management courses offered by XLRI and other participating institutions.

XAT 2025 is meant to be conducted for the year 2025. The test will be conducted across 75 cities in India.

Candidates willing to take up XAT 2025 registration must have passed Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent from a recognized educational institution located anywhere in India.

Registration fee

Candidates have to pay XAT 2025 registration fee of Rs 2200 while applying for the exam. Those applying for XLRI programmes, have to pay Rs 200 per programme.

How to download admit card?

Candidates who have successfully completed their XAT 2025 registration will alone be able to download admit card and its process is explained below:

2. Once the website is ready, candidates have to click the link for downloading hall ticket which may open another webpage.

3. When another webpage opens, candidates have to type their application number and other required information and submit them to obtain the admit card.

Exam pattern

XAT 2025 will be conducted online as a computer based test where the questions have to be answered on a computer screen at the test centre.

Duration to complete answering is 3 hours 30 minutes. The test will have questions related to Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, General Knowledge, and Essay Writing.
