IISC Admission 2020: Good, Apln dates revised
IISC Admission 2020, the last date for applying for graduate, post graduate and doctorate programmes at Indian Institute of Science (IISC) has been extended till 30 April.
IISC Admission 2020 is about getting admitted into courses offered by the popular institute at UG, PG and Doctorate levels.
Students who complete the requirements for the award of the Bachelor of Science (Research) degree will have the option of getting a Master of Science degree by studying at the Institute for a fifth year.
Post Graduate (PG, Masters)
Courses offered are Masters in Management, Master of Design (M.Des) and M.Tech. Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Instrumentation & Applied Physics, Materials
Engineering are among the courses available in M.Tech. M.Des is offered in Product Design and Engineering.
PhD (Doctorate)
IISC Admission 2020 covers even doctorate courses also. Research areas where PhD can be done fall under three subjects namely ‘Science,’ ‘Engineering’ and ‘Interdisciplinary’ People willing to apply for doctorate courses in IISC Admission 2020 can choose topics related to the earlier mentioned subjects.
Science

Eligibility
Candidates applying for UG programme in IISC Admission 2020 should be a plus-two pass with maths, physics and chemistry as main subjects.
Even candidates who have biology, statistics, electronics, computer science in addition to maths, physics and chemistry can also apply for the course.
Candidates must have the plus-two with a minimum pass percentage of 60. SC, ST category candidates have to just pass the exam. Candidate must also have a good score in competitive exams like JEE Mains (2020) or NEET (UG) (2020) or KVPY-SA (2018) or KVPY-SB (2019), KVPY-SX (2019) and JEE Advanced (2020).
Candidates for undergraduate programme in IISC Admission 2020 must be having a pass percentage of 60% in NEET, JEE Mains or JEE Advanced, if they are general category candidates. The same for OBC, NCL is 54% and 30% of SC,ST and PwD category candidates.
If they have appeared for KVPY range of exams, they should have appeared for it in the year mentioned above and should have been selected for fellowship.
Candidates applying for M.Tech must have BE or B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline. Applicants must also have a good score in GATE of 2018 or 2019 or 2020.
Applicants for M.Des must in IISC Admission 2020 must be having second class in Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology Design/Architecture with valid GATE 2018/ 2019/ 2020 or CEED 2020 score.
Master of Management course applicants in IISC Admission 2020 must be having a minimum of first class or equivalent in Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent with a valid GATE 2018/ 2019/2020 or CAT 2019 or GMAT scores.
Phd applicants must be having a master’s degree in their respective subjects with a minimum of 50% pass marks. Candidates must have good score in GATE 2018/2019/2020 or NET JRF which includes Joint CSIR-UGC NET for JRF, UGC-NET for JRF, DBT JRF, ICMR JRF, JEST, NBHM Screening Test 2020, INSPIRE fellow.
Selection
Selection for undergraduate course will be done based on their marks in Plus-two and their score in the above mentioned competitive exams.
For Phd candidates are shortlisted for an interview based on their performance in the National Entrance Test and/or the qualifying degree as detailed in the above table.
The selection is based on the performance in the interview (in some of the departments, an aptitude test/preliminary interview will precede the interview/final interview).
Candidates for M.Des will Candidates will be shortlisted for a design aptitude test and an interview based on the GATE / CEED score as per the schedule given on the IISc website under Important Dates.
Selection will be based on the performance in GATE / CEED, design aptitude test and interview. The announcement of the results and issue of admission of offers for candidates shortlisted on GATE score will be through COAP, and for those based on CEED, directly by the Institute.

The selection for Master of Management Selection will be based on the performance in the group discussion and interview. Candidates will be short-listed for a group discussion and interview based on GATE/CAT/ GMAT scores as per the schedule given on the IISc website under ‘Important Dates.’
Application fee
The application fee for PG, Phd programmes in IISC Admission 2020 is Rs 800 for general, EWS and OBC category candidates. The same is Rs 400 for SC,ST and PwD category candidates. For ERP candidates the fee is Rs 2000 and for sponsored candidates is Rs 800.
For undergraduate course in IISC Admission 2020, the application fee is Rs 500 for general, EWS, OBC and KM category candidates. The same is Rs 250 for SC,ST and PwD category candidates. The fee can be paid through online netbanking, credit card, debit card.

After the webpage downloads, candidates can click either of the two links ‘Apply for UG programme’ or ‘Apply for PG programme’ applicants for graduate programme can click the former and those applying for PG and PhD programmes can click the latter.
Candidates have to register themselves and obtain username and password and then go ahead with applying for IISC Admission 2020.
