IAF AFCAT 2021: Registration Begins 1st December, 2021

This exam is conducted to select the Class-I Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duties in both the Technical and Non-Technical departments. This exam is held twice a year in the months of February and August or September.
This is an examination for both men and women who wish to join the Indian Air Force. The exams are for recruiting the students in both Short Service Commission in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission/Short Service Commission in Ground Duties for both Technical and Non-Technical roles.

Post the exams, the candidates also have to go for the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) interview. It is on the basis of the exams and interview that the candidates are selected for the position. The candidates who are applying for the technical department or for the Ground Duty branch will have to appear in both AFCAT and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).
IAF AFCAT exams are conducted for two types of commissions which are Permanent Commission (PC) for Men and Short Service Commission (SSC) for Men & Women.

The IAF AFCAT 2021 registration information have been rolled out on their official website. The notification is released in the PDF form that has the entire information like exam dates, process to fill the application form, the number of vacancies, eligibility criteria, details about the admit card, selection process, etc.
The registration process for IAF AFCAT 2021 registrations begin from December 1, 2021. The recruitment drive will be available for 317 posts. The last date to fill the form to apply for this position is December 30, 2021. The courses will start from January 2022 onwards.

Eligibility Criteria for the IAF AFCAT 2021 position
There is a certain age limit for the registration for IAF AFCAT 2021 registrations. For the flying branch, the age limit is 20 to 24 years old. For the Ground Duty branch, the age limit is 20 to 26 years.
The other eligibility for the same are the nationality, educational qualification, and physical standards. The candidates must have to be a citizen of India. The candidates who are below the age of 25, must be unmarried.
The Married candidates above 25 years are also eligible to apply, but during their training period, they are neither provided married accommodation nor can they live with their family.
The candidates need to be medically and physically fit to be eligible to carry out their duties and responsibilities properly.
AFCAT Exam Details
The IAF AFCAT 2021 exams will happen online at various centres in India. The candidates will have to pay the registration fee of Rs 250 while registering. This will be both the registration plus the examination fee. The candidates who are registering for the NCC special entry, they are not required to pay this examination fee or any kind of fee.
The selection of the candidates for the required position will start from January first week itself. Once the candidates are selected, their training will begin from the first week of January itself. The training will begin for all the courses at Air Force Academy Dundigal from the first week of January itself.
