ECSE 2021 admission: Doors open to great tech ed aspirants
ECSE 2021 admission for engineering courses at Ecole Centrale School of Engineering (ECSE) has begun, students can apply before 10 July.
ECSE 2021 admission aims to fill 660 seats in seven courses of engineering – Computer Science & Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Electronics & Computer Engineering, Computation & Mathematics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering.
Sources from the institution say, the proposal is made to introduce four new specializations in Nano Technology, Mechatronics, Bio-technology and Computation and Biology.
These four specializations will be offered with 30 seats each for the academic year 2021-2022.

The institution has academic partnerships with global institutions like USA’s Babson College, France’s Centrale Supelec and Groupe des Ecoles Centrale, University of Florida USA, and several others for internships and semester exchange.
In addition, the contemporary curricula are being curated to incorporate emerging technologies and enable holistic development of its students.
Eligibility
Candidates willing to take up ECSE 2021 admission in engineering courses should have passed plus-two or its equivalent from a recognised institution across the country with a 60 percent pass marks.
Also the candidate should have passed JEE Mains and have become eligible to write JEE Advanced.
Even candidates who have passed SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) with good score can also apply for ECSE 2021 admission.
Admission
ECSE 2021 admission will be provided based on either JEE Mains (Qualify in JEE Main examination, and be eligible to write the JEE Advance 2021 exam) or Valid SAT Subject Test Scores with a minimum of 1800, which should include Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry.
For Non-Resident Indian or Persons of Indian Origin (NRI/PIO) category students, general SAT scores are also accepted.
The last date to apply for first round of interaction is 16 February.
The first round of interaction with SAT applicants in connection with ECSE 2021 admission is on 18 February.
The last date to apply for first round of counselling through JEE Mains score is 31 May.
How to apply
Students interested in applying for ECSE 2021 admission must remember that the procedure to apply is online.
There is no physical application form for ECSE 2021 admission.
Students can visit the official website of ECSE at ‘http://www.mahindrauniversity.edu.in/’
Soon after the respective webpage of the above said url downloads, applicants can see ‘Apply Now’ button on the right end.
Post clicking ‘Apply Now’ candidates can see a new webpage where they can commence registration for obtaining username and password.
Applicants have to provide their name, email, mobile, course they wish to study and state they belong and how did they know about ECSE and then create the password and confirm it.
After confirming the password they can finally submit the form by pressing ‘Create Account’ button.
After pressing the button the applicants will get a confirmation of the registration and username and password.
Applicants after obtaining the username and password must comeback to the same webpage where they took up registration and press ‘Login’
Post pressing ‘Login’ they can enter their username and password and enter into the application portal and start filling the form for ECSE 2021 admission.

After filling the form they can attach required documents and pay the application fee and submit the application for ECSE 2021 admission.
Documents to be attached
Applicants have to attach their passport size photograph, 10th class and 12th class marksheets, JEE Mains/SAT score cards, digital image of their signature while filling the application form for ECSE 2021 admission.
The registration fee
The registration fee to be paid for ECSE 2021 admission is Rs 1000 for candidates from India.
If the applicants for ECSE 2021 admission are NRIs or PIOs, the fee is Rs 3000.
Point to remember
Applicants for ECSE 2021 admission will only receive invitation through their email for counselling if they are shortlisted upon finding them eligible.
Physical presence of Indian students is essential for counselling process in connection with ECSE 2021 admission.
For NRI or PIO applicants, counselling process will be takenup through Skype or video conference.
