DRDO to award 11 JRF for project at Defence Laboratory, Jodhpur
DRDO stands for Defence Research and Development Organisation. This organisation was formed in 1958. The headquarters of DRDO is DRDO Bhawan which is New Delhi. DRDO is formed by an amalgamation of Technical Development Establishment (TDEs) of the Indian Army and the Directorate of Technical Development & Production (DTDP) with the Defence Science Organisation (DSO).

This agency works under the Ministry of Defence and is the largest research organisation in India. They have a network of laboratories that develop different defence technologies in life sciences, aeronautics, electronics, armaments, land combat engineering, missiles, materials, and naval systems. The chairman of DRDO is Dr. G. Satheesh Reddy.

Latest DRDO news on JRF
The latest news about DRDO is that they will host interviews from December 6th to December 9th to award junior research fellowship popularly called as JRF. This will be done for a project at the Defence Laboratory, Jodhpur. The official news about the same was rolled out on the official website of DRDO. The news was “Indian Nationals are invited in Walk-in-interview for award of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work in DRDO projectat Defence Laboratory, Jodhpur (Rajasthan), a material cluster laboratory of DRDO.”

The selection of the candidates will be done on merit basis and the selected candidates will receive ₹31000. Merit based selection means getting selected on the performance in the interview. So, the candidates need to be well prepared for the interview because that is the only way to get selected.
This amount will be given per month to the candidates. Along with this money, they will also receive HRA and medical facilities as per rules. So, the amount will be more than the estimated in hand amount for sure.

Other information that was rolled out on the website about this was that the candidates need to submit their bio-data while they are appearing for the interview. Along with the bio data, they will need to send a recent passport size photograph of themselves that will be affixed on top right corner of the first page.
Other thing that would be required are the elf attested copies of all Degrees/Academic qualification certificates/Mark Sheet/Experience Certificate etc. Without these important things, the candidates will not be allowed to sit for the interview. These should be considered mandatory.
