Delhi University, a reputed educational institution is about offer an opportunity to study there. Applications for admissions in Delhi University will begin from 9 April.
Admissions
University offers various courses related to Engineering, Management, Law, Science at both under graduate and post graduate levels. There are two ways to get a seat in this educational institution. One is through a written test, the other is through a direct entry based on merit.
CAT scores will be considered for admissions into management courses. Medical admissions will be done based on NEET scores. The courses at graduate level are known as B.A, B.A HONS.
Eligibility
Candidates who are a pass in plus-two exam with atleast 55% to 60% marks can apply for the admissions in graduation courses. The subjects must be maths, physics, chemistry, biology in plus-two.
For post graduation courses, applicants must have a pass in the relevant degree course with at least 55% to 60% marks. Candidates can check for the updates at the right time here on this link of Delhi University.
Important dates
For undergraduate course (merit based course) admission, application issuing begins on 4th week of May, the last date to submit the application from is 3rd week of June.
Subsequently there will be four rounds of cut-off releasing each cut off release will be followed by document verification and admission approval. For admission into undergraduate course through entrance test based system, application issuing will begin on 2 April through online system.
The last date for application registration is 30 April. Admit card will be available on 25 June. Admission process will begin on 25 July. For post graduate courses, application issuing will begin on 2 April and will go on till 30 April.
Admit card for entrance test will be available on 15 May. Exam will be held on 2 to 9 June. The results will be declared on 25 June.
Application procedure
Application form will be available online at the official website of the Delhi University. Candidates can provide their valid email id, mobile number while filling the form.
This will enable the applicant to access directly all the developments related to the exams and the admission procedure. Applicants also have to upload photograph of their self in the size of 20 to 50 kb.
Photos must be in JPG, JPEG or PNG format. Even valid id proofs like Aadhar, Voter ID, PAN Card have to be uploaded.
Application fee
The application fee varies with the type of course the candidates have applied. For UG (merit based) courses admission, application fee is Rs 250 for Unreserved and OBC category candidates.
The application fee is Rs 100 for SC,ST,PWD and EWS category candidates. Application fee for UG course (entrance test) based and post graduate courses is Rs 750 for UR and OBC category candidates and Rs 300 for SC,ST and PwD candidates.
Exam pattern
The entrance test for admissions into Delhi University will have multiple choice question format. And duration of the test will be for five hours. Each right answer will get four marks, a wrong answer will make the applicant lose one mark. The total number of questions will be 100.
Syllabus
Applicants must answers questions related to 12th standard level subjects in the entrance test for graduate course admission. The subjects are maths, physics, english, chemistry, biology, commerce.
For post graduate admission applicants must read graduate level lessons related to their subject of choice. If candidates aspires to study Journalism in post graduation, he or she must study lessons related to Journalism in the under graduate level to crack the exam.
Post Exam
Applicants will get to download the answer key, post the entrance test. Answer key will have all the right answers, using this candidates can make a guess as to how many marks they are going to get.
In case of some discrepancy, candidates can report the same to the authorities concerned within 48 hours after the answer key is uploaded. Final answer key will be released after that.
