Partnership of CyberPeace Foundation is aimed at promoting cyber security. CyberPeace Foundation is a leading civil society organisation that is active in the field of cyberspace security.
CyberPeace Foundation through its tieups with these educational institutions wishes to encourage research in the field of Cyber Security, Cyber Defense and Internet Engineering and Governance.
CyberPeace Foundation plans to establish CyberPeace Centre of Excellence across the three colleges through the partnership.
The other intension of CyberPeace Foundation with help of this partnership is to promote innovation, facilitate design and development of indigenous software tools for Cyber Security and internet standards under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
CyberPeace Foundation plans to put to use the partnership with the educational institutions to promote entrepreneurship in cybersecurity to support the Start-up India and Stand –up India initiative of Government of India.
The idea for CyberPeace Foundation is also to take help of this partnership introducing new courses on cyber security, cyber crime investigations.
With help of this partnership, CyberPeace Foundation also intends to jointly apply for grants related to cyber security from government and industry.
Cyber security as a part of the curriculum is yet to go mainstream in India across technical institutes.
Owing to COVID-19 and perennial threats emanating from the domain of cyberspace, India currently trails behind its global counterparts in terms of capacity to address the growing volume of threats.
Phishing, scamming, malicious domains, stalker were, ransomware etc. have witnessed a manifold increase in the last few months especially as internet usage surges owing to the restrictions around COVID-19 designed to contain the spread of the virus.
Cybersecurity as a professional career choice has been on the rise over the last few years and has opened up highly remunerative career options globally.
The initiative by CyberPeace Foundation will further strengthen the efforts between the educational ecosystem and itself to jointly combat the menace of cybercrimes and create more cybersecurity literate trained students across India.
We are delighted to partner with the Institute Of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineers, Delhi, Trident Academy of Technology, Bhubaneswar and Ramachandra College of Engineering, Eluru, Andhra Pradesh as we work jointly to spread awareness, combat cybercrimes and up skill thousands of students across India and encourage them to opt for careers in cybersecurity, he said.
