Starting today, the chemistry test paper for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG 2024) will be administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Exam day for the CUET UG shift 1 is set for 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. To the exam site, candidates must bring their CUET admit card 2024. 

The biology paper is part of shift 1B, and it will take place from 12:15 to 1 pm. The general test and the English CUET 2024 tests will be held in shift 2A and shift 2B of the afternoon session, respectively, by the NTA. Pen and paper examinations for the CUET UG 2024 will be administered from May 15–18. However, computer-based testing (CBT) will be used for the exams on May 21 and 24. Applicants should arrive at the CUET 2024 testing location two hours before the start of the exam.

Without a valid government-issued photo ID and their CUET UG 2024 admit card, candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination hall. Before entering the exam hall, students must also turn in their self-declaration form at the CUET 2024 exam site.

CUET 2024: Exam Day Guidelines

Applicants planning to take the CUET 2024 exam should adhere to the guidelines provided by the NTA at all times.

There will be multiple choice questions (MCQs) on the CUET exam in 2024. Four marks will be given for each right response, and one mark will be taken away for each wrong response. There will be 800 total marks available for the CUET 2024 exam. As soon as the test is over, the CUET exam analysis and answer key for every exam that is scheduled for May 15 will be made available. Candidates are only allowed to wear open shoes, such as slippers or sandals. Closed footwear like boots and sneakers are not allowed to be worn at the exam centre.

The entrance exam for IIT admission will be conducted by IIT Kanpur for 2025. As usual, JEE Advanced 2025 registration is expected to open a few days after the result for second edition of JEE Mains 2025 is announced.

Admission process

Candidates have to take up JEE Advanced 2025 registration online. Those who have submitted applications will appear for JEE Advanced 2025 conducted by IIT Kanpur.

Individuals have to pass the entrance test with required qualifying marks to be eligible for further procedure which includes counselling.

Counselling is the process where the students can choose the course of their choice and the institution where they desire to study it.

Selection will be done based on performance in the qualifying exam, written test, choice of the course by candidate and availability of seats there.

Who can take up JEE Advanced 2025 registration?

The eligibility required to take up JEE Advanced 2024 registration is a pass in plus two from a recognized educational institution located anywhere in India.

They must have passed plus two from science stream with subjects as maths/biology physics and chemistry.

Those keen on pure engineering can pass plus two with maths, physics and chemistry as core subjects.

And, candidates focusing on biology or biotechnology oriented engineering courses should have passed plus two with biology, physics and chemistry as subjects.

Applicants must also have passed JEE Mains with a rank among the top 2.5 lakhs on a national level. Candidates who fulfill all these conditions can take up JEE Advanced 2025 registration.

Process differs here as applicants are divided into two categories – Indian citizens and foreign nationals and the process to register is different for both these categories.

Foreign applicants

Once the web page is available in the browser, candidates must click the registration link.

Once the account is ready, candidates can log in and start filling out the application form for JEE Advanced 2023.

The form has to be filled and the registration fee has to be paid and submitted.

Post submission, applicants have to wait for the message indicating successful submission, once it is obtained, it can be downloaded and a printout of it has to be taken and preserved for future use.

Indian applicants

Eligibility for Indian applicants is a pass in plus-two and also in JEE Mains. They can visit the official website mentioned above and click the registration link.

Post clicking the registration link, they can enter their JEE Mains roll number, date of birth and other information and log in and begin JEE Advanced 2025 registration.

JEE Advanced 2025 registration fee is to be paid and the form has to be submitted.
