Coronavirus is causing enough concern across the country. Prevalence has led to cancellation of competitive exams and regular college exams. Sources from authorities concerned say the measure is to ensure the ailment does not spread its wings.

JEE Main April 2020, MAH MCA CET 2020, GUJCET 2020 come under this category. JEE Main was supposed to be held on 5,7,9 and 11 April, but now that will not happen. MAH MCA CET was supposed to be held on 28 March, the new date for the exam is said to be 30 April.

GUJCET 2020’s actual planned date of exam was 31 March, sources say, new dates will only be announced after 31 March. That’s not alone even Aligharh Muslim University (AMU) cancelled its admission tests.

D.EI.ED Joint Entrance Exam of Bihar too will be held on a different date. Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya too will be conducting its admission test for admitting students into undergraduate courses on another date. Another exam to have joined the list of postponed exams is OJEE 2020.

College education exams
The exams of IIT Kanpur are said to have been cancelled till 31 March. University Grants Commission (UGC) has also asked universities and colleges across India to postpone exams till 31 March.

Exams of Nagpur University will also be held on different date from its earlier planned date. Rajasthan University also has postponed its exams till 31 March. JKBOSE Board Exams also are postponed.

Recruitment exams
The recruitment exam for Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), RBI Assistant (main) Exam, Kerala Public Service Commission, SSC CHSL 2019 exam and Junior Engineer Exam of Staff Selection Commission, Bihar Public Service Commission, Delhi Higher Judicial Services Main (2019) Exam are among those that will be conducted on new dates.

The last date for VITEEE 2025 registration was 31 March 2025 earlier, now it has been extended to 7 April 2025.

VITEEE for B.E/B.Tech programs will have a total of 125 questions constituting 125 marks. The no. of questions is given as Mathematics/Biology-40 questions, Physics-35 questions, Chemistry-35 questions, Aptitude-10 questions and English-5 questions.

Vellore Institute of Technology will conduct VITEEE 2025 exam for 2 hours and 30 minutes duration.

All the questions shall be multiple choice type; each correct answer shall have one mark and there is no negative marking for incorrect ones. 

Candidates who are wishing to take up science oriented courses have to attempt questions related to maths, physics and chemistry.

Those keen on biology or biotechnology oriented engineering courses have to attempt questions from biology, physics and chemistry. English and Aptitude questions are compulsory along with maths/biology, physics and chemistry.

Such candidates will not get any chance to attend the counselling process. Out of the total 125 questions, the sections include mathematics/biology (40), physics (35), chemistry (35), aptitude (10), and English (5).

Post preparation

Candidates have to appear for VITEEE 2025 and then pass it with required qualifying marks to be eligible for the next phase of the admission process.

The phase after written exam is counselling, those who have passed the written exam with required qualifying marks can take part in the counselling where candidates get to choose the college and course they wish to study.
