COAP 2020 registration commences
COAP 2020 registration, also known as Common Offer Acceptance Portal has begun registrations for the year 2020. This is a platform where engineering graduates desiring for pursuing post graduate engineering courses or looking for jobs in high profile PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings) can register themselves.
About COAP
It is a portal where reputed educational institutions like IITs or noted public sector undertakings will be participating and hosting their education admission offers or job requirements.
Candidates willing to access these offers and apply for them must be registered with the portal. This is indeed a good chance for the graduates who are looking for widening their knowledge horizons or commencing their earning life.
In 2019, 21 institutes and a PSU, NPCIL came together and participated in COAP for filling their M.Tech. seats or job vacancies.

COAP 2020 registration – IIT BHU, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Goa, IIT Roorkee, IIT Ropar, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur and noted public sector undertaking Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) are also participants.

Who can register
Candidate willing to register on the portal has to be an Indian citizen. The applicant must also be having a valid GATE score, he or she should be 2018, 2019 or 2020 GATE qualified.
Candidates having more than one GATE score in the above mentioned ones, must submit the highest one while registering themselves. Candidates must register on the COAP to access all the offers related to admission or job offers.
How to register
Candidates must click the link ‘https://www.digialm.com/EForms/configuredHtml/844/51671/Registration.html’ and begin the registration process. After clicking the above mentioned url, applicant must enter GATE registration number afte the website downloads.
They must also enter GATE score, mobile number and email ID, date of birth and enter the captcha code and go ahead with the registration.
Method of operation
Candidates can logon to the portal at regular interval during 13 to 14 May, 20 to 21 May, 27 to 28 May, 3 to 4 June and 10 to 11 June to view various offers pouring in from the participating education institutions and PSUs.
The candidates who have registered for COAP 2020 will have the opportunity of choosing the offers made by educational institutions or PSUs. The candidates have the choice of either accepting the offer or rejecting it and looking for someother offer subsequently.
Points to remember
Candidates who want to make most of the offers must be registered in the portal for 2020. The applicants need not fee any of the documents while registering.

Candidates can select only one offer in a respective round of multiple offers from various participating institutes and PSUs. If a candidate does not access the COAP or does not make a decision during a particular round of offers, then all offers made during that round will be considered as ‘Reject’ by the candidate.

Nevertheless, in case, if the candidate has given higher preferences, then the candidate will be considered for the higher preferences in the subsequent round(s) of offers.
The purpose of COAP is to fill all the M.Tech. seats in the participating institutes and also to provide a common platform for all the participating PSU’s to upload their Job offers to the GATE Qualified candidates. The objective is to enable fair chances to all participating institutes as well as M.Tech. admission seekers/PSU Job seekers.
